I bought this laser a second time because of the small footprint fits on a KelTec P17. I zeroed it, which is a relative term. Lasers really don't ever zero as well as red dots and scopes, but they're usually close enough. This laser is sold under a variety of names by the Chinese company that makes them. Using different names avoids too many bad reviews, or direct price competition on different retail platforms. I returned the first one of these I bought from another vendor because it wouldn't hold zero at all. I'm hoping this second one does better. So far so good after the first trip to the range.
The problem with these inexpensive lasers is they all use a 3 point laser positioning method--two screws and a spring point. Elevation and windage are the two screw points. That system is cheap to make. but very insecure in terms of the holding the laser in place. Sometimes when the elevation is dialed in changing the windage throws the elevation off a small amount. That's a weakness of some 3 point designs.
I have several different brands of lasers that I use on different guns. Lasers help me sight center mass on moving targets, or when I'm moving, much faster than either red dots or iron sights. According to some research I've read, scumbags are more afraid of seeing the laser dot on their chest than seeing a gun pointed at them. Anything that causes them to leave prior to shooting is a big plus.
I shoot iron sights almost exclusively for accuracy. They're faster and better ...
