Easier than binoculars
Easier to focus than a binoculars -- don't need to focus adjust one eye and then both. Just focus once. Field of view is compatible with binoculars. Although it is lighter than binoculars, it is a bit heavy with the excellent glass and lens size. A bit loose fitting focus knob. Grippy. Objective lens comes with an attached cover, but pupil lens doesn't (why not?). Tie a small cord to the cover to the lanyard attachment. Overall, a bit larger than I wanted (maybe should have gotten the 8x for pocket use) but very pleased, fits the intended purpose.

Thankfully, I have a Vortex 10x36 monocular - for comparison. The larger 42 mm objective lens in this makes for noticeably brighter viewing ... for the price of being a tad heavier ... with a big lump on top.

WHAT A GEM
I have had several hawke optics, all of them exceptional for the price, clarity is amazing,endurance line is comparible with the viper line[vortex], and endeavor line [vanguard] ... i own all 3

Hawke Sport Optics Endurance ED 10x42 Monocular
Ditto to all other 5 star reviews. Fast shipping. Comes with case that you can strap to your belt. Looking forward to using it on our Colorado trip. I like it and it fell right into what I was willing to spend for a monocular.
