Most Helpful Positive Review B&C Sporting-owner
This is the third hawk scope i brought, and 100% happy. It has very clear optics with red and green lite retical. The range system is Escher into the lenses. Each line has the yardage marks next to it so it is harder to make a mistake.

its okay i guess

The hold over markings seem to be pretty accurate, but it is a $250 scope, so keep your expectations for glass quality is on par with its price point.

22LR Rifle Scope

by RBP, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on February 21, 2026
I have three of these scopes, they are the perfect match for a 22LR HV. When sighted in at 50yds the range marks on the glass are spot on. Illumination always works and a fine addition to a Quality scope.

by RBP, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on February 14, 2026
This is the 4th Hawke 22 HV scope I own and all range etched reticals are spot on for distances, also the illuminated reticle is a great feature for the price point.

Great price! Great glass

by Slo-poke, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on February 1, 2026
Hawk scopes quality is well above its price. I haven't had an opportunity to zero in yet , so unable to speak to turret adjustment.

So far so good - Hawke Straightwall Hunter - .400 Legend

by Ben, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on October 28, 2025
I put mine on a Bear Creek .400L upper. I have not yet had a chance to shoot with this scope, but initial impressions are very good. In particular, the value of this scope seems very good. The build quality is very good, the optics are sharp and clear, and I like the etched numbers on the reticle. This may seem a bit gimmicky at first, but when you have several different guns you rotate through regularly, it's hard to keep track of the distances on the hashes or "BDC". I will sometimes write them on my scope with pencil, or put a little label on each gun that I calibrate, but this saves me from needing to do that, or having the mark get smeared off in the field. So turns out to be a very nice feature. The marks are right-on (within 5y) for .400 Legend, at least according to their calculations. I'm looking forward to seeing how well it performs in the field, but so far so good.

Pointless Optic for .22LR shooting

by Hidaro, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on April 8, 2025
This optic sounds perfect for .22lr shooting, it's got a great BDC for subsonic ammo, decent glass & tactile controls. However, the parallax is set at 75y, meaning anything under 75y is very blurry. Why you'd make a .22LR optic with a 75y parallax instead of a 50y parallax is weird. And since this features no parallax adjustment you're stuck with blur at 50y which is where most people are shooting .22lr.

Athlon has adjustable parallax for less money.
Pros:
  • Build quality
  • reticle
Cons:
  • No parallax adjustment
  • No focus adjustment
Best Used for:
  • 75y and out
