Just as described
Base mount is perfect and solid. Mounted on a henry big boy steel .357 magnum for my wife and she's ready to go. Tighten all 3 screws a little at a time and the base centers itself. They want at leaSt 200 characters in order to be acceptable in this review and I don't really have anymore to say. We had a great Christmas and hope you all did too.

Henry Scope Base
Item was very well described on the website. Shipping was in a timely manner and the item arrived well packaged and was correct in the box. Looking forward to mounting the scope on the rifle. The price was right in line with what a gun shop would charge.

Fits has discribed
Works has said for the henery big boy steel. It fit perfect on the top of the gun mounting locations. This is for the second generation big boy rifle. Does not come with scope rings, just the mount. Make sure you order mounting rings for the Pinnacle or Weaver style.

Out of necessity
Did not want to mount a scope on my Henry Big Boy but age and failing vision made it a necessity. Simple , easy to mount didn't have to remove the iron sites. Quick delivery no problems as always from Optics Planet. Very happy with the transaction.

Factory Fit
This is the Henry factory mount so it went right on the gun. You cannot use the fixed sights once the base is on so I would not try to use removable rings. This is not a problem for me though since My old eyes needs the scope anyway. Looks good on the gun.

Solid Product
I ordered this product mistakenly choosing this particular scope mount for my Henry 30-30. Although I did like the construction and look of the scope mount lifting off the brass finish of my rifle, unfortunately, this product was not compatible with my H009 model. I have since obtained the right model but all Henry Made Scope mounts (when matched to your gun) is just as solid as the quality one would expect from Henry Rifles. The Customer service with Henry Pride, LLC and Optic Planet for the one item I purchased off this site made it easy to return unused products.

Clean design. good support and ideal hammer/rear sight clearance
This base is drilled properly to make the most of the Henry's three hole base pattern; two aft, one forward. Other base/ring manufacturers suggest an 1894 Marlin piece as a substitute, but a two piece is not properly anchored up front and the patterns is off by at least 0.030" at the front and they hang over the front or back of the receiver. The Henry base matches the Henry receiver top perfectly and a 36mm objective Leupold 8x clears with low rings.
Pros:
- Correct fit and support
- Well made part

Henry Big Boy scope base
These bases are hard to come by in Canada, so it was good to finally find someone who carries them! The mount fitted properly and was easy to mount. The packaging that the mount came in was worse for wear.

Scope mount for Henry Big Boy steel carbine
The mount fits perfectly to the top receiver of the Henry Big Boy steel carbine, making it very easy to install a red dot sight. The height of the mount, however, partially blocks the view of the barrel-mounted semi-buckhorn rear sight. My aging eyes were the reason to go with an optical sight in the first place, so losing the iron sights as a back-up is not a big loss. If I need a back-up, I'll just carry an extra red dot, pre sighted in.
