Anyone NOT liking this forward grip, bought it for the wrong reasons. I purchased this, because I REALLY liked the controllability of the FN P90, as a PDW. This forward grip gives the same controllability and handling characteristics to AR15s, or any weapon with a lower front rail. I did have to loosen up all the screws on this thing, to get it to slide down the rail. But, once in place, it locked down solidly. This works well with a 16" barrel. But, it would really shine on an SBR or designated PDW.
Pros:
- Very well designed, and nicely manufactured
- Good attention to detail, and ergonomics
- Gives FN P90 style controllability to ARs
Cons:
- Looks a little funny, at first. But, you get used to it quickly.
- Proximity to magwell on lower, precludes the ability to swing the lower forward, off the front takedown pin.
Best Used for:
- Works great with 16" BBL. But, best with an SBR, or designated PDW
