Not the best. It’s pretty spongy feeling. Even cut the spring for detent. Normally on a safety, if it’s on fire and you pull the trigger your selector should not move. This safety will move almost to safe. I swapped it out for a radian instead. Much happier with that safety.

To each is own however I have hiperfire hipertouch triggers on 3 of my rifles and love them i stumbled across the hiperfire saftey selector by accident the reds on the trigger and saftey fo nicely together installation was simple I don't mind the plastic construction the throw action is fine for me the 2 combined complement each other and work fine for me again each is own what I like you may not but again works fine for me

I certainly do my best to support Veteran owned company's ... however ... this is definitely NOT Veteran designed!! If so ... I think there needs to be some disciplinary action. I know Hiperfire triggers can be a bit "finicky" with safety selectors and I have had good luck with Armaspec safeties on other builds with Hiperfire triggers ... but in these times "out of stock" I needed a safety for a build ... reluctantly after reading previous reviews I ordered it ... JUNK!!!! First you get to install it then you get to put it together (right). Beyond the fact that the levers are HUGE and are also poly/plastic its difficult to manipulate. VERY Disappointed!! Hiperfire ... I have no complaints with your triggers but you try to pawn off this junk ... You lost Props!!

I got these because I wanted to check into the hype about compatibility, despite having no issues using Radian Talons with my Hiperfires. It does feel better than the Talon does when it’s paired with Hiperfires, but I would never pick it over the Talon when I wasn’t using a Hipefire trigger. But as is, I have 5 Hiperfire triggers so I’m obviously convinced they’re the best. That being said, I modded mine by removing material off of one of the levers to make it shorter than the other and have a less-aggressive texture. (I’m simplifying the explanation of the work done to keep this review from being longer than it is.) The smoother texture and shorter length helps to keep it from interfering with my trigger finger on the stonghand side (left for me). The other problem is the colors, or should I say color since no respectable man would ever put anything whatsoever on a rifle that is red. So I had my black levers cerakoted Multicam Grey after I shortened and profiled one of them. After all that work, I’m happy with it. But I shouldn’t have to do all that work. For Radian money, this should be Radian quality, and I don’t have to do anything to their triggers. Also, I feel like I should clarify that I don’t think this safety would be needed when used with Hiperfire’s PDI triggers, the self-contained cassette types. I’m using my one PDI with a Fortis safety and it works fine.

I put this on an Aero M4E1 lower to see if I like it. Have used Armaspec, Radian, and an assortment of other short throw ambi selectors beyond just standard Milspec stuff in the past, so I've got a pretty good frame of reference for how these things should feel and work.

There are several issues with this selector:

1) Complicated installation / design
If you are using a drop in trigger, like I am, you most likely need to remove at least one trigger pin to remove/install a safety. This selector introduces two additional tiny hex key screws to keep the levers attached that screw through the main shaft of the selector . They are a major pain to install. If you do any work on the internals of your lower (upgrading a trigger, replacing a spring, etc) these hex screws alone will add 5-10 mins of fiddling with a tiny hey key to get this uninstalled. I have plenty of aftermarket parts, and I believe that certain types of components (triggers, selectors, captured buffer springs, etc) available on the market are generally better than milspec -- sometimes by a lot. But all of the aftermarket parts I have are either easier to install/service or have a negligible impact to serviceability. These screws significantly increase the time it would take to strip the lower and replace a component. There are better solutions - Torx screws that go directly into the center of the selector shaft for instance.

I have other safeties on AR platforms and this as decent as any of them. Yes its plastic, but appears well made and it works very well. I don't see plastic as being a huge setback. Yes, its red and obtuse, but unless you don't like big red things, I don't see the problem.

I was going to chuck this after I got it as a package with a Hiperfire trigger. Then when I found the fire selector I was going to use wasn't compatible with the Hiperfire trigger, I decided to throw this in. First of all, the plastic selector levers are humongous. They look like they should be on a clown car. Since the black was out of stock when I ordered, I got red and they look like they belong on some kind of toy. Second, they're plastic and feel cheap. Third, no instructions. Yeah... I know how to install a fire control, but not everybody does. I kind of dig the feel of the trigger, but the idea that Hiperfire triggers are so finicky when it comes to compatibility will lead me to avoid the brand in the future.

I used the supplied Allen key and almost immediately the set screw began to strip... the plastic selector is okay but not on the same quality as Magpul which costs less. I think the only redeeming feature is the compatibility with hiperfire triggers which can be finicky with other ambi safety selectors.

Wouldn’t buy again and I tried to seek out support for the part from the manufacturer but they mostly care about the triggers and not the accessories.
