Most Helpful Positive Review Great Product
Easy to install. Bright sights in the day, or in the darkness of night. The front sight stands out nicely. The openings on the top and sides ensure light can get to the fiber optic. Sturdy platform. Good product.
Most Helpful Negative Review Not for Indoor Use!
These sights came standard on my S&W M&P Performance Center 380 EZ Shield. Boy do they LOOK cool in the ad copy and on the gun. But boy did they suck at the indoor range that I go to. As others have said, if you plan to use these sights primarily on a gun at your local indoor range, I would pass...

Not as good as Truglow TFO's

by Ken, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on January 11, 2021
I was looking to get a good set of daytime Fiber Optic sights for my Glock 48. I have Truglo TFO's on a Glock 43 already. In my opinion night sights are way over rated. A civilian must identify a target at nighttime with a light. Any sight works at night when the target is lit up. In fact the dim glow of night sights are not even visible with the target illuminated. So I go for a laser/light combo and FO sights for daytime. I found these Hi-Viz sights and was hoping they would be better in the daytime than the TFO's. They are not. Plus they are rather low down to the slide, and thus slower to align the aim point vertically. I will replace them later with either TFO's or find a Fiber Optic sight that is better. The older HiViz sights were superior to these. Maybe they still make them, but Optics Planet no longer carries them??
Pros:
  • cheaper than Truglo's
Cons:
  • not very bright in daytime.

HiViz Litewave H3 Tritium/Litepipe Sight Set

by cym, from MN, United States Written on June 6, 2019
The front sight is made out of a cheap metal and broke during install. Filed the base to help with the install but that didn't help. It didn't take much force at all to break the sight off the base. Do not buy for the XDS. Purchases 2 sets of these sights and both front sights broke.

Good sights for the money

by Max, from OH, United States Written on February 19, 2019
These are good sights for the money. They are slighty brighter than my tfx pros indoors. In the dark they are about the same. Out side they are aso equal. In my experience fiber optic sights do not respond to artificial light as well as sun light. I also run Dawson percesion sights on a compitition pistol .All 3 rear sights required minor fitting to install correctly. These gather a little more light due the side openings. However, isn't a huge improvement over the tfx pros. Nor were they a $ 150.00 investment. I also prefer the white outline on the front sight over the orange. So for the money, you get good sight picture in all lighting conditions.
Pros:
  • price and quality
Cons:
  • Front and rear are same color in low light and darkness

great idea, poor implementation

by kwig-e-bow79, Verified Owner from IN, United States Written on January 18, 2019
sights are well made but that is where the positives end. tritium in my ameriglo sights is much brighter. pretty sure the fiber optics is dulling it. speaking of fiber optics,. only in outside daylight are these any good. sunny day? bright and easy to pick up. cloudy? still surprisingly decent. indoors? almost useless. they don't pick up interior light well at all. if you get the light source with 6-12 inches they are usable. I thought these would be better than the truglos because there is more exposed fiber optics. boy was I wrong. $90 down the drain
Pros:
  • built strong
Cons:
  • poor visibility
  • fiber optics not that impressive
  • Tritium Brightness Low
  • Indoor Visibility Poor
