A little tricky to install
Bought this to help with the sighting on a Mossberg 500. The tricky part to installing this is that you have to make small adjustments on the thread insert to get the final alignment correct. Be very careful, and don't try to overtighten if it doesn't want to line up. The thread insert isn't the greatest material, and will snap.
Once it's installed to where the sight lines up correctly, this is great.
Good value, not as bright as i was hoping. better than stock bead
I picked up the HiViz Spark II BD1007G hoping for a noticeable boost in visibility over the standard bead, and while it’s not as bright as I was hoping for, it’s still a solid upgrade overall.
Installation was simple, and the fit is secure with no wobble or shifting under recoil. The sight picture is definitely improved compared to the factory bead — the green HiViz pipe is easier to see in most lighting conditions and gives a cleaner point of reference when acquiring a target. For quick shots or instinctive shooting, it’s absolutely better than stock.
That said, brightness is where it falls short for me. In shaded environments or overcast conditions it performs well, but in bright sunlight or when shooting against light-colored backgrounds, I expected a bit more punch. It’s visible, just not as bold or crisp as I had anticipated.
Still, for the price, it’s a good value. The construction feels sturdy, the color options are useful, and it’s a meaningful improvement over a basic bead sight. If you’re looking for an inexpensive, no‑nonsense upgrade that installs quickly and helps with target acquisition, this one does the job — just set your expectations on brightness accordingly.

Pretty good little sight
I bought this for a 410 Mossberg shockwave and this small sight fits well on the small barrel and looks good. It's kind of a challenge to install because of the tiny insert, and I have thin fingers. You definately don't have to worry about any excess threads protruding down into the barrel because the insert is short. Contrary to the directions, I just screwed the correct insert into the sight base with some blue loctite, then threaded it into the hole with loctite and it was easy to line up with just a slight turn with a small cresent wrench. Worked out really well in my case and is a nice improvement over the beadsight.
Pros:
- well built
- Inexpensive
Cons:
- challenging to install because of small parts
Best Used for:
- small barrel shotgun

Perfect Sight
Great sight at a very good price. Easy to install with popular thread options . The spark II gives a little larger sight picture because of it's size. You may want to use some removable Locktite or nail polish to secure it.
