Most Helpful Positive Review Great value for money spent
The hard nylon is less flexible than Hogue's rubberized options. Hard nylon doesn't grab and stick to clothing like the rubberized either. Ergonomics are great. Would be nice if a bedding pillar were in it but that would make the stock cost more, which i would pay more for that.

Hogue 10/22 stock

by Doc, from AR, United States Written on March 1, 2024
This model does not have the rubber over molding so it doesn’t stick to your clothing or skin and is stiffer in the forearm region.

Very rigid. This is hard nylon not rubber over mold.

This stock is extremely rigid and stiff. It has a pressure pad built into the barrel Channel about two or three inch in front of the mounting screw. It is just a plastic v block that puts a little upward pressure on the barrel and can be easily sanded or filed out. The package comes with instructions on different ways to bed the bull barrel. The forend is probably stiff enough to pressure bed the barrel at the forend tip but I just got the stock and haven't tried it yet. The stock has the Cobblestone checkering just like the overmold stock so it's very grippy. My rifle has a 40 mm objective scope with low rings and the stocks comb is High Enough but could be a little higher for a tighter cheek weld, so just get the lowest Rings you can get and you should be good to go. This Stock's fit and finish is excellent, it fits the 10/22 action tightly with no gaps
Pros:
  • Very rigid
  • Very good grip
Cons:
  • Little bit heavy
  • Should have a straight comb stock for scope use
Best Used for:
  • Small game hunting and plinking

Excellent product

Ergonomics of this stock are great. Fit to the barrel and action is really good. I don't like the rubber-coated stocks that stick to everything, which is why I really like this hard nylon model. Great product.
