I love the design and feel of hogue furniture. The color gave me a little flavor with the rattle can job, blending very well with my chosen colors. No problem fitting on PSA GF3/5, AKV 9mm, etc. Pretty much standard AKM rifles and variants. The material does not accept paint etc.; it will flake off, so go with a suitable color of hogue furniture. Otherwise, very versatile and well made!

Very happy with this grip and forend kit. My original wood forend had the notorious AK loose wobble to it, so I expected to have to modify the contact points to make it fit tighter... I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to do that - it fit great without having to do that. The rubberized grip fits my hand way better than the crappy Kalashnikov grip and it just feels awesome. ��

This overmolded furniture set in Ghillie Green is a great balance between practical improvements and cost. Both the pistol grip and hand guard give excellent grip on your hands, even when wet. This set, in my opinion, blends together the ability to attach different accessories to your AK and keeps it simple. I give this set 5 stars for what it is, which is modernizing your AK in a way that stays in line with the traditional AK look. If your looking to have extended reach on your rifle, and a variety of accessories, than your better off looking at something from RS Regulate, Texas Weapon Systems, Zenitco, etc.

I have not tried shooting a red dot on the upper handguard picatinny rail, so I can't comment on holding zero, but judging by the loose tolerances of AKs, I would assume that it will be partially impacted by how tight fitting the upper handguard is on your AK once you have the buffer tube locked in. I have a VSKA Trooper, and it does slightly shift in place on the buffer tube, which makes me reluctant to use it.

Lastly, I will say the Ghillie Green color is great. It is a darker, grayer than OD Green, in my opinion, and has a great textured look that comes out to be a unique camo pattern. Its a nice change from FDE and goes very well with an AK.

If you want a more comfortable, practical setup for your AK, that keeps that cool traditional AK look, I highly recommend this set, especially at the cost!

If you want to improve your AK the first thing you need to do is put this Hogue conversion on your AK. Bought a 74 and put it on for a rifle class I took and even in the heat with sweaty hands the grip was nice and firm no slippage at all. I like the grille green to mix things up. Would highly recommend.
