Most Helpful Positive Review Very pleased

I reall like the stock ard forend. They have just the right amount of tackiness where needed and smooth where needed. They are both solid and mount easily. My one complaint is the recoil pad. It works fine. I just think the design and construction is a bit sub-par. Plus they are of a grippy rubber that catches your clothes. Pros: Well made, excellent fit and finish Cons: Recoil pad could be better

Great product

The overall for and finish of this stock set was amazing. You can tell that it is not as robust as the Magpul but it is much cheaper and very comfortable to use. Install was easy but the locking nut/castle nut tool is not included so if you do not have one add it to your cart with this set as it is impossible to install with out it.

Hogue gun stock kit

I’m very happy with the hogue gun stock kit. I bought from optics's for my Remington 870 .great fit and great look couldn’t be more happy.would like info on a camouflage kit for the same gun. Would also like info on a sling for my 870. Black.

Simple choice

I looked at different furniture, & decided on the Houge overmold stock & forend.
It was a simple choice for me due to the rubber grip on both.
This is my first shotgun so my biggest concern in choosing this grip was safe operation.
I wanted it to be very easy to handle and become second nature & the least of my worries in a stressful situation.
This shotgun is for home defense and I think I chose the right product.

Big upgrade

This is a big upgrade over my stock plastic forend and stock that came on my marine magnum. The forend is slightly longer than my old one. But still short enough if I want to use a side saddle. Super grippy and wide for my large hands. The stock is way more comfortable and makes shooting and holding the shotgun much easier. Doesn't want to slide out of my hand like the original one did. Also seems to tame recoil better. Might be due to the combination of the stocks plastic being thicker and heavier as well as having a more solid grip to keep the shotgun from moving around when firing. There seemed to be less recoil using this stock with standard loads compared to using my old stock with reduced recoil loads. Also the price for this combo can not be beat.
Only reason I took off one star is that the forend has a loose fit on the front tube no matter how much I tightened the forend nut.

Excellent product that enhances the shotgun applied to. This product is precision constructed delivering on what it promises. Excellent grip surface on both the grip and forearm areas. Easy installation allowing use in thirty minutes or less. I highly endorse and recommend this product to others considering purchasing.

Best tactile-feel regular-type stock on The Planet.

I love Hogue's OverMolded stocks' (and forends') tactile "feel" & grip under all conditions.
Comes with required/shorter mounting bolt.
Hogue stocks' wall thickness is 35% thicker/sturdier/heavier than Remington 870 synthetic OEM.
Hogue's OEM recoil pad is "decent" but takes a backseat to Limbsaver pads' felt-recoil reduction.
And I wish that Hogue would offer a VERY POPULAR/PRACTICAL 13"LOP option of this product for Rem 870.

Should have a better factory fit and not have to be filed, scraped, or sanded to fit properly. A little disappointed with this product. Expected a much better product from Hogue!
Cons: A lot of sanding and smoothing to get a good fit foreend binds on the barrel
