Review of Hogue forend for Remington 870 12 gauge overmolded shotgun forend. Great upgrade! Good grip. Assembly was simple. Orice was good. Quality product.

Nice forend
Hogue typically has the most comfortable/ergonomic grips. This is no exception. The grip was easy to install. I have an aftermarket heat shield on my 870 so i needed to rack the pump a few times at first. It slides smooth as butter now. Optics planet is always my go-to for gun accessories.

Hogue forend
Put this on my Pardner Protector. Much better than the stock forend. A little tight, but easy to install, especially if you have a castle nut tool. Looks great and I really like the overmolded texture. Makes it easy to keep a secure grip when firing. It's also shorter than the stock forend, so it allows more room for side saddles.

excellent grip
These grips are excellent. I highly recommend. A have owned several shotguns. mostly Remington and Mossberg. I always replace the plastic with these. I can safely say that I have a set of Hogue grips for every gun in my collection. very high quality, anti-slip, great feel, excellent control.

Non slip grip
I shoot for recreation but also keep my 870 for a home defense situation. The Hogue forend is a great addition, as I had felt with the factory "cob" forend to slide in my hand while shooting. The Hogue forend is comfortable and I feel I have more control over the gun. Something to note is that it is a little longer than the factory "cob" forend. I have a Mesa Tactical rail and 8 shot saddle combo, which did not allow the forend to slide all the way back. My solution for this was dremeling a small rectangular piece of the forend to allow it to slide all the way back.

Hogue Remington 870 OverMolded forend
This grip is just what I needed; only Problem I had was that the old forend was almost impossible to take off.
Pros: Feels good allows use of side saddle.
Cons: Its hard to get the old grip off.
