Most Helpful Positive Review excellent stock for ruger mini 30
I studied this quite a bit and read a few reviews before i purchased the Hogue ghillie tan overmolded stock for my Ruger Mini 30. It fit perfectly. I'm not a guy who likes to add on a bunch of cr%& to my rifles. Thus, I was a little worried that switching to the Hogue would add considerable weight. I don't notice a big difference. The feel of the new stock is a considerable improvement over the original stock. The added length (cannot remember- maybe another inch or so) improved the shouldering of the rifle. Couldn't be happier!

Couldn't be happier with the Hogue stock. The added length of pull helps the rifle shoulder in a better position, the overmolded material grabs better than the hard synthetic, and the lockup and action fit was spot-on. The material also absorbs some of the clang and rattle of the action cycling, so it "feels" like it shoots smoother. Of course, it also just flat out looks nicer as well - the ghillie tan compliments the Ruger stainless very nicely. In all, couldn't be happier!

Gillie TAN is really Gillie Earth

I purchased this stock for a stainless mini 30...First of all,it feels awesome!!!Unfortunately,hogue has changed the color pattern...It looks nothing like the picture online or in the catalog...What used to be Gillie Tan is now Gillie Earth...Too bad...It would have looked really cool...So I sent it back for an exchange...Thanks foe great customer service at Optics Planet...

Purchased to replace OEM stock on Mini 30. While there is still recoil, the stock does help absorb some of this. It has a good feel and it adds to the appearance of the rifle
Pros: Perfect fit to shoulder well. Comfortable
Cons: Nothing to note yet.

Hogue better than factory synthetic

This is what Ruger should be supplying as thier synthetic stock. Took all of 5 minites to install.
Right out of the box you can feel the difference between the 2
