Love these grips
I ordered these going just by the pictures, not actually seeing them in person, and got a little bit lucky. They are perfect for me and look great. Be aware that these are about 3/8" longer than the stock grip (Magrip). Stock 12 round magazines will not be flat with the bottom of the grip/magwell...

Not what you get
I ordered these grips and was extremely dissatisfied when they looked absolutely nothing like the picture. There was nor a tenth of the detail in the grip. They more resembled the solid black grips. When I complained I was given a 10 percent refund. It never was about the money. It was about the mis...

The item is great but you sent the wrong
Hogue makes great products. I ordered the Piranha but you sent the checkered version. Second incorrect order in as many weeks. QC is lacking in the warehouse i guess. I will keep this as i can use it. Hopefully my next order will be correct.

Great grips
Great grips that are much nicer than the stock black plastic magwell grips that came with my p226 tacops. This really elevates the look and functions of the gun.

Hogue P226 Grips
These grips feel great on my Sig P226 MK25. They have texturing that assist with having a firm grip even with sweaty hands. My only complaint is the grips extend below the magwell so if you are using a flush fit magazine then reloads require you to use your thumb to push the magazine in rather than using your palm. I have two types of magazines, flush fit and ones with a little bit bigger of a base plate. The bigger base plate ones still allow me to use my palm for insertion but barely. I’ll need to find some longer magazines if I plan on doing speed reloads.

Save your money.
With the name "piranha" I expected this grip to have some bite to it. It is only slightly better than the worthless factory smooth stippled grip. Total waste of money!

Piranha Grips
The piranha pattern on these magwell grips are different than on other piranha pattern grips I own, have them for two p220’s and a p229. The ‘fish scale’ pattern on the magrip is the same shape just much smaller. Not sure why these are different. Personally like the large piranha pattern better. That said these are exactly what is pictured, received just as ordered, bad assumption on my part these would have the same size pattern as the other sig grips. In general, a light touch up with sandpaper is required, to ‘fit’ these grips, particularly around the beavertail area. Super easy to do....but have had to touch up every set I have installed.

Great grips!
Very ergonomic, major improvement over stock! Easy to install and of high quality. Not to mention they look great. Hogue is known for making excellent products and these are certainly no exception. Highly recommended.

Quality!!!!!
Thins out your grip, nice feel in hand, extra grippy, highly recommend these grips! They look really clean when installed. No gunsmith required! I will buy another set in the future. Great gift idea.

P226 Hogue Grip
This grip is much slimmer than my previous Hogue rubber grips. It allows me to get a much firmer grip on the pistol and allows me to get more finger on the trigger especially in DA mode. The grip also creates a magwell extension that will be somewhat awkward for the original 13 round magazines. I also upgraded to the 15 round Mac-Gar Magazines that work surperbly with the grips as show in the picture.
Pros:
- Slimmer Grip
- Better Trigger Position
Cons:
- Magwell Extension - awkward for standard mags
Would recommend: Yes
fits perfect
Like all Hogue grips these fit perfect. I got them as I thought the stock grips on a P226 Stainless Elite were pretty thick, and wanted to improve the grip. I do not believe these are really any thinner than the stock grips. Have not taken my calipers to them yet, but they appear to be about the same as the stock wood grips, which are also built by Hogue for Sig. I think the only way to really get a thinner grip on the double stack 226 is to go to the new E2 grips.
I like the texture of the piranha. It is a bit aggressive but I like it. These seem to have better ergonomics with a slightly different shape and combined with the G10 texture I am happy with this choice. With the number of choices for color and texture you really can not go wrong with these.
I got the magwell design which fits the stock mags a little under flush, the 18 round mags are flush and I have not purchased the type in the picture. BEFORE PURCHASE, GO TO the HOGUE WEBSITE AND CHECK THE SERIAL NUMBER ON YOUR P226. Sig changed some machining recently and Hogue hasn't caught up yet. If it is a brand new gun you might need to order these from Hogue direct to get them to fit.

Awesome Hogue grips
Fit's weapon perfectly. The grip texture is very good. At first I thought that I wouldn't like that the grips extend past the mag well, but I quickly got over that. I'm very pleased with these grips.
Pros:
- Fit
- Texture
- Finish
Cons:
- price
Best Used for:
- Sig P226
