Holding strong!
I have this mounted on my wilderness carry pistol. It's a Glock 40 10mm Long-slide. I'm running max pressure loads that rattle your teeth and this optic is holding zero like a rock. I only have a few 100 rounds through it, but this gun gets thrown around in some rough situations. It's not in battle,...

The screws they sent were to long…..Broke off my MOS screws.
I was so excited to get this optic in for my Glock 19 MOS. It finally got here, I follow the directions and heard a snapping noise. The rail fell completely off the slide. It snapped both my mos screws. Upon further inspection I realized the supplied screws from Holosun were way to long and had torq...

love the Vulcan site
I've actually been using this as a secondary site with an lpvo setup at the 12:00 position. The Vulcan reticle not only works for pistols, but also works for 5.56 in 308 Caliber.

Holosun dot
I really do like this red dot even though I had to purchase it from somewhere else because I didn't get my delivery. But optic planet worked with me and got me a refund without making me wait fthe full time and if I hadn't been able to get it locally would have definitely bought it again from them again.

Worked Better Than Expected
If your interested in the ACSS V.. its exactly what they advertise. The 509 closed emitir is pretty sweet as well. Window feels more open than i thought it would... feels like my 507 just protected. Worth $4-500 idk about that. But if it dosnt effect you paying bills i wouldnt hesitate to grab one for your pistol

excellent enclosed optic. love chevron by itself for long guns
I have several regular 509’s, and love them all. Can’t beat the enclosed nature and no rain, mud, dust getting in sight. Very easy to clean and very sturdy. Bigger buttons are far superior to other Holo offerings. Mount system is a bit tricky, but not terrible. This one uses standard 509 footprint, but is a tad longer. Actually fits better with the rmr adapter plate for aftermarket mounts because the standard 509 is shorter than an rmr, so looks a tad awkward. This one fits completely flush with included adapter plate on any rmr mount. I use this on a piggyback for AR, and on ADM low mount for shotgun. The trick is to turn off the large circle for long gun applications. The big circle only works for pistols, as it’s always visible closer to eye. But you just use the chevron only, and it’s very nice. Reminds me of the old trijicon chevron optics.

holosun 509 with vulcan reticle
I thought I’d try this reticle on my pdp pro. Mounting plate for this combo is available on the secondary market you will NOT need to stack plates. The size of the lens is a tad small for me. Where other sites quote the diagonal directly, holosun doesn’t. Simple math gets you the number. The surounding structure is intrusive to my eye. Closest in my possession is a Romeo 2 in the enclosed configuration. Romeo 2’s window is brighter, a tad wider, and the site is not quite as thick.I like red in a site and green laser/ light, and have them set to overlap at 7 yards. The red circle dot I have in my Romeo 2 works better for me. Site adjustment for the holosun works well. I can’t speak to the battery/ solar panel contrivance claims. Will it fail if you hit it with a hammer, I couldn’t tell you. Warranties are not the same as Trijicon, Sig, Leupold, or Aimpoint. Cheaper than Aimpoint acro. Made in PRC?

- reticle

Outstanding, Intuitive Red Dot
Had my P09's slide milled for this, and it's been a solid performer. The ACSS is extremely intuitive, even for new shooters. Only warning is that they are NOT kidding about the fitment being different from the normal 509T.

Holosun Enclosed ACSS Vulcan Reflex Sight
This new enclosed ACSS Vulcan sight is amazing! The arrow sight point and circular outside get you on point quickly. The enclosed case keeps dust out and it does not negatively affect my holster or draw. Love this product. I expect the ACSS Vulcan to be the next main thing.

HE509-RS-ACSS
This optic is enclosed so dirt and rain are kept from interfering with the reticle. To mount this optic on a Glock gen 5 9mm (17, 19, 45, 47) you will need to order a MOS adapter plate that is specifically designed for the ACSS model. The adapter plate for the 409T model will not work and it says this under the description of this optic (if you read the whole thing - I didn’t). I found the ACSS MOS adapter plate at primaryarms.com.
The Glock MOS 02 adapter plate is compatible, but it puts the optic too high and you would have to cut your screws down. There isn’t enough thickness in the 02 plate to secure the optic in my opinion. So the ACSS adapter plate is the best option.

Best reticle for anything and everything
I slapped this optic on a L2D Slide assembly on my sig 320 carry build. I can’t stress out accurate this sight is out the case. I fired from 7yds, 15yds, 25yds, and 50yds. All shots were on target and on paper with no more than a palm size grouping or less. This optic is worth the price tag

battery life questionable
I bought this in December of 2022 and had to replace the battery 3 times. Its scary to see your optic and the chevron and circle are fadding out and then blink at you. Mabey mine was defective idk but this is really worrysome ill change my review if primary arms replaces mine and it works.
