Worked fine until it didn't. + button stopped working and the sight is unusable. This sight was treated gently and only occasionally used. I have owned this optic for less than 2 years.
I'm not excited to deal with Holosun customer service... Fingers crossed...

I carry & shoot pretty much nothing but RDS equipped pistols & Carbines now a days, due to my issues with my eyes. I simply can’t shoot irons fast. I own 2 RMR’s 1 SRO, 1 Sig Romeo1 another Romeo 3, several other aimpoint & EOTech optics to name a few for the sake of a true review. I got this unit a while back, ran it as a 45° offset(on an arisaka defense 45° mount) paired with a Sig Tango6T on an 11.5” SBR. Primarily used it for quick target acquisition/transition while on any type of magnification as your FOV will make for a rather narrow field of view(relatively speaking). After running it for a while I realized the “circle dot” makes for a super fast acquisition & wanted to try this reticle on a pistol. So I put it a pistol my 226 TacOps & liked it so much that I got two of the lower(507v2GR) for them.... also picked up its big brother the 510c elite to replace one of my XPS2(not that I chucked the EOTech simply saved it for a different gun).... today I came back to pick on a second one of this in green reticle to replace the 45° just to have a different color for that transition(figured the red one can just go in my next optic ready pistol.
If you’ve read this so far, you can guess I own almost as many of the Holosun’s as all other brands together. Really guys(and gals) if you are looking for one for duty(assuming your department allows this) anything from Holosun would fit the bill, however if it’s for duty specific I’d get the Models that ends with a “T” at the end of...

these things are gold. Bigger view window, more customizable reticle, and dual power make these a beast. Add on top of those that this model is solid titanium and you've got the new par to beat for handgun red dots.

Picked it up to put on a pistol for the first time. Good optic and works well. I like the green dot and the optic options. The solar flair is a nice option, however I have found that I need to have it turned up a bit for me to see it in a bright environment if I'm in a darker area.

This is a great red dot for a pistol or anything you want to mount it on. The battery life is excellent and better than the competition and you get 3 reticles. As other have said this great when you look at all that is offered. It also has the added benefit that it has the same footprint as the Trijicon RMR, and if you already have a gun milled out for it this will go on. This model is still the first version which means you’ll have to take the optic off to change the battery, but as compared with the new version this one has a better battery life.
Pros:
- Reticles, price, titanium body, battery life, same RMR footprint, and durability.

Great optic to have if you're looking to keep weight down on a PCC. I tried a friend's RMR and found the viewing window too small and the reticle washed out under bright light. The Holosun's viewing window is a lot bigger, and the auto-adjust does compensate for washout, which is great. Definitely going to buy another for my pistol.

This optic seems very rugged in its construction. The glass is clear and the dot is crisp. I like the auto brightness setting as well. The battery life, if it's as good as advertised is also impressive. The only negatives I see so far is that if you have big hands like I do if u wanted to turn it off completely it is hard to press both small buttons at the same time. The only other neg is you have to unmount the optic to change the battery, but I think is pretty par for the course for these kinds of optics

This is one fantastic optic. The buttons are super easy to use and the dot is super crisp. Also the green reticle is definitely the way to go. I pick it up much better in everyday life and I see it better against many backgrounds.
Pros:
- Great Optic
- Easy to use & operate

I absolutely love this site. I put it on my AR Pistol and it was practically sighted in at 25 yards without me every touching it. The illumination is great, the reticle is very easy to see, and all of the features of the sight work as advertised. It is very lightweight and sits nicely on my 0.83 riser mount from UTG. Optics Planet was a great place to order from with free and quick shipping!

I purchased the Holosun 508T sight for my S&W model 41 .22 cal. pistol. The pistol is also a Performance Center model with a machined barrel picatinny rail. The 508T includes the base for rail attachment. The 508T is constructed of lightweight titanium however the mounting base is not. The finish appearances between the sight and base are different. Some mounting applications will not require the base plate especially if you have a machines slide. Very impressed with this unit ! Zeroing is simple with the supplied tool. The sight has auto/manual modes. The aperture has 3 views 32 moa ring, 32 moa ring with 2 moa center dot or just a 2 moa dot. The sight holds center without change, visibility is great, excellent fit and finish, great battery life and there’s solar backup. Don’t hesitate to purchase no disappointment here. This is my third Holosun red dot and I see more in my future.
Pros:
- Price
- Ease of use
- high quailty
- high adjustability
- Solar and Battery life
