Nice red dot
Very nice reticle on this optic. I have an aim point micro t1 that I compared it to, and looking through both optics I could hardly tell the difference between the two. Huge red glare, I can't see trough the optic.
There is a huge red glare on the upper half of the glass, I see it even when it is turned off and in daylight. It is way to distracting to see the all red in the upper half of the sight. It might be bad glass. I tried it again in the day, same result. I think I am going to return it to Optics Planet...

Great Budget Red Dot
This seems to be a very economic alternative to the aimpoint & Trijicon products that I usually go with. It is up to the end user if this would be For “duty” use, however my needs were met for a budget build. Excited to see how long the battery will last!

Holosun HS403GL
I purchased this optic for my first AR-15 build chambered in 5.56. Right out of the box the red dot was fairly close to true. It took me about 5 minutes and 3 rounds to dial it in. Once I had it zeroed in that's all it needed. After around 750 it has stayed true. The shake awake feature is definitely a plus! I have it set to turn off after an hour and it seems to work as advertised. This was my first Holosun, but it will not be my last! It definitely holds its own against more pricey optics!!!
