Most Helpful Positive Review Best Performance in SBRs

I get much better accuracy with this ammo in my 7.5 and 10.5 inch barrels that with the 55 grain FMJ. I tried some rounds into wet newspaper and it really expands. I'm using this as my go to self defense round from now on. Surprisingly it's no louder in the 7.5 than the 10.5 barrel.

Best Home Defense 5.56

I've been extremely impressed with this ammo. The 75-grain InterLock bullet has been reliable and consistently accurate, making it an excellent choice for home defense. It cycles flawlessly in my rifle, and I appreciate the confidence that comes from knowing it feeds and fires every time.

I also run it suppressed through an SBR, and it performs exceptionally well. It burns clean, maintains great accuracy, and I've experienced no issues with reliability or consistency. The heavier bullet seems well-suited for shorter barrels, and the overall performance has exceeded my expectations.

If you're looking for dependable 5.56 ammunition for a defensive setup—especially a suppressed SBR—this is absolutely worth trying. I'll definitely be buying more.

good out of 10" barrel

Outstanding Hornady SBR Round

Exactly as advertised, muzzle flash is virtually non-existent through my PWS Compound 11.83" SBR with the PWS BDE556 Ti suppressor. Very repeatable accuracy @ 100 yds.
Haven't measured exact muzzle velocity, but it hits very hard at that distance. A little pricey but worth the extra costs for a clean running setup that doesn't throw a massive fireball out of the muzzle with every shot.
Highly recommended.

Fast clean burning propellants
Very repeatable accuracy.

Cons:

High cost per round

Best Used for:

SBR 12.5" and under
Suppressed 5.56 rifles/carbines/pistols

comparing ammo for my sbr

For indoor self defense, I'm thinking this is the best choice for my 11.5" AR-15. I like the way it shoots smoother than higher velocity ammo, bullet weight and configuration.
