Love this brand of ammo. Shoots great ever single time

I’ve been shooting target grade loads through my AR for years but decided to slow it down a little and step up on the ammo. With a new 18” barrel, trigger and bcg the setup just needed a balanced load. From experience I reached for the Hornady Black and put down 2” groups @100yds and just got better from there. The 62gr bullet in the Black profile is a perfect match for my setup.

Hornady Black ammunition is an excellent choice. I've used the 75gr Hornady Black 5.56 SBR ammunition too. I actually would have purchased more of the 75gr 5.56 SBR ammunition but it was out of stock. I have a 5.56 rifle with a 10 inch barrel, and 1:7 twist. I believe that for home defense distances, this ammunition is adequate. I prefer the heavier projectile out of a shorter barreled rifle. Hornady Black isn't cheap ammunition but I shoot about 200 rounds a month or every other month. At my usage rate I buy this ammunition because it is very good quality in my opinion. It does seem to have less flash than other Hornady ammunition. I use a four piece Bulgarian muzzle device that kills the flash quite well, but with Hornady Black, it is virtually nonexistent. If you are looking for a well made, very reliable ammunition, then I think you should purchase a couple of boxes to try for yourself. If you find you like this line of ammunition, then you could feel better about the investment you make when stocking up. The 5.56 SBR ammunition might be hard to find because it gets bought up quickly. The .223 62gr will be fine in my opinion, though not optimized for your SBR.

This is my favorite target shooting go to ammo. Absolutely top notch. It was also the cleanest looking brass out of about 5 brands when I took it out. The box it comes in is a perfect package. Each indivdually and neatly held in their own slots. No jams with super smooth shooting. Shot over 300 on the test within 20 minutes. Very nice.

Went through 100 rounds in 10 we got 2 AR’s zeroed. The 90 was just satisfaction of this product at the range. I highly recommend these ammo excellent for range. Accuracy was approximately 2x2 less on a block.
