Most Helpful Positive Review Great product
Worked with no issues. no damage to the bullet. I know some have said that it's difficult to set up but I had no problems. It doesn't have to be perfect every time. You just have to make sure the collet is only gripping the bullet. Make sure it is NOT gripping the brass and you ill be fine.

Hornady Cam Lock Bullet Puller No. 050095

by Stanley Lawrence, Verified Owner from IL, United States Written on May 20, 2021
The Hornady cam lock bullet puller is not compatible with the Hornady AP Press for rifle cartridges. You cannot raise the ram to the top with a .308Win cartridge. Also, the tip on A-Max bullets get smashed/bent when the bullet is locked in the collet.
Pros:
  • Works great on pistol cartridges
Cons:
  • Not easily used on rifle cartridges with an AP press
Best Used for:
  • Pistol cartridges

Hornady Cam Lock Bullet Puller

by Joe, from NY, United States Written on February 24, 2021
THe Hornady Cam Lock Bullet Puller works great it is faster to use than the RCBS puller, which I have had, also it didn't mar the bullet. Easy to set up and remove the bullet. As with the RCBS you need collets that match caliber you are working with.
Pros:
  • Easy and fast
Cons:
  • Not a fan of the the lever i hate plati dip just me

hornaday cam-lock bullet puller

by JOHN, from CA, United States Written on February 10, 2021
This product worked just as advertised. I would definitely purchase this product again, and I would recommend this product to anyone. I have a coaxial reloading press and this is one of the best type of bullet puller for this type of press.

Good Puller

by Bubby, Verified Owner from WV, United States Written on October 4, 2019
Fairly easy to setup if you are use to setting up dies. Easy to use. Seams to be made well, great Hornady quality. I would strongly recommend using this puller. Just had one little issue when bullet was seated way to deep, bullet just had tip to grab.

Instructions are not very good

by Steve M., Verified Owner from IA, United States Written on September 23, 2018
Maybe I just didn’t understand the instructions. This thing works great but the only way I could get it to work Is by feel. Pulled 45 rounds of 5.56 factory ammo that wouldn’t drop in my case gauge. I didn’t even want to attempt it with my inertia puller. I kind of expected to run the ram on my press all the way to the top, cam the puller over, and drop the ram to pull the bullet. Maybe with pistol bullets that will work but with rifle bullets you have to kind of feel the bullet enter the collet, cam it over and then drop the ram, about half of a stroke or maybe more. Puller works great after I got it figured out. Would have given it 5 stars except for the instructions.
Pulled bullets were 55 gr. FMJ’s and most of them you couildn’t even find a mark on them to tell that they were pulled.
Pros:
  • Way faster and cleaner than an inertia puller
Cons:
  • Instructions are lacking

Bullet puller

by Steve, from TX, United States Written on September 4, 2018
Works well with most bullets. I wouldn’t use this for powercoated as it will scare the projectile. Simple to set up and simple to use. You will need different internal pieces for different sizes. They don’t come with puller.
Pros:
  • Works quick and easy
Cons:
  • Not for use with power coated projectiles.
Best Used for:
  • Single stage press

Cam Lock Bullet Puller

by ProPilot, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on May 4, 2017
This tool takes the work out of mistakes. The best puller I have ever used so far. I was using the old hammer style puller and would have to swing the hammer 65 times to get the bullets to come out for my 223 rounds. With this Hornady cam lock puller I pulled roughly a hundred mistakes for not trimming, in 20ish minutes with no sore arm.
