Progressive Press
This item is made for the Hornady progressive press. If you have a single stage press this device will not work. The unit comes with 4 primer tubes, not two as pictured. The outside diameter of the tubes is larger than what goes in the single stage press. If you have a lathe I imagine it would work. The end with the cottor pin would need to be turned down. So much faster than pickup sticks
So much faster than pickup sticks. Tilt it slightly back toward you and slightly tilt to the left. Load up 100 primers in 20 seconds. Make sure you fully seat the tube, may need slight chamfer on inside and outside of tube.

Great item
I have loaded thousands of primers with mine and hate that I didn't order it sooner. I bought some extra primer tubes and cut the plastic pick up tips off of them and now I load my primers 500 at a time. It literally takes me less than one minute to load 100 and that includes taking the lid off the device and opening the primer package. Can't praise this thing enough. Note: Key to feeding smoothly is to not crowd the feeding hole just angle the device so that all the primers are in an adjacent corner and let them flow in like water as the device vibrates.

It does work. You just have to develop the technique
So at first it is a totally frustrating affair. It just flat doesn't work but then you play with it a bit and you begin to realize that you have to play it like a pinball machine. It gets kind of fun. I've gotten to the point where I can load a stick in no time at all. It sure beats doing it one at a time.

works fine but... it is built like a toy, very flimsy plastic. we will see how long it lasts. Hornady could have done better. over priced but it does work. it will have to do until somebody makes a better one. i hate filling primer tubes one at a time.
