Great product but very loud
I first saw this product at the NRA convention in Indianapolis over a year ago and was impressed with it then. The first problem with this item was no one had any to sell and when they did @ $250.00 they were a little pricey. I have intended to purchase one all along but opted to wait for a price drop first. OP recently offered them for $204.00 with 2nd day air, shipping for free and the deal was finally too good to wait any longer. This product is similar to the older and discontinued Smith & Wesson versa vault with several improvements.

fast and easy
Got it as birthday gift and could not be happier. Instructions are clear and easily understood and time from opening the box to testing the locking unlocking procedure was minimal. Exterior size is small enough to fit easily into dresser drawer or below. Security tie down seems sufficient to thwart all but the most determined culprit with time on his hands. Interior packaging cradles the weapon securely yet enables a quick draw retrieve. My weapon includes a red dot front sight and a rail mounted tactical light and it accommodates the whole package quite easily
In summary: easy to set up, quick to open, ample room for man size cal 45. Like the multiple options to gain access.

Love the safe
I got one of these safes for my mom as she has weapons out in the open and has grandkids over all the time. After purchasing one for my mom, I bought 2 for myself as my girlfriend has kids and I always have guns out in my house. I have not had any issues what so ever and one of the saves holds a fully loaded 1911 with laser sight and a spare clip and the safe still opens extremely quick and as advertised. Great purchase.

Best bedside gun safe!
This is the perfect solution for people to secure their gun and still have quick and easy access to it. No more putting it in your top drawer or under your mattress. I have no fear that a child or anyone else will be able to get to the gun. It is AC powered which is great. The only drawback is the battery backup. It requires 8 AA batteries!! They could improve the safe by having a charging system with a rechargeable battery. Other than that, the safe is perfect for anyone looking to keep their gun secure and easy to get to when you need it in a hurry.

safe product
nice product and set up was easy - the one issue is it is loud - it will not open quietly in the vevent of a suprise intrusion - it maks a noise you can hear from beyond a closed door - it is easy to see in the dark and touch feel is good

Hornady Rapid Safe
This safe is a rock solid portable/ free-standing safe that can be used "in plain site." Easy to use and very secure, with multiple entry options, this product really answers the call for my secured yet accessible handgun requirements. Recommend it!
