This is my initial un-boxing review. I'm still a little dumbfounded as to how nice this axe really is. The wood is perfect !! Not one knot...the grain is oriented perfectly, and there is no air space between the lug and the shoulder. The grind is very nice, and decently sharp.....heck, they have to leave something for me to do...which is give it a nice hone. I already put a first coat of boiled linseed on it, and now can't wait to take it to the woods. From what I see though, I have nothing to worry about....this axe appears to be made flawlessly.
