They work!
Install was pretty easy once you get the spring compressed and pinned with the included allen key, basepad slid on with some effort, but that is a good thing. Once installed it allowed the 17 round mag to hold 20, the last round was relatively tough to get in, but not excessively so.
Pros:
- Price
- Ease Of Use

Does not fit properly
I was excited to get these +3 basepads for my 15 rd mags for my p320.
Unfortunately, they do not fit properly, rendering them useless.
The problem lies in the shape of the ‘tab’ along the sides of the basepad, that needs to fit into the matching ‘slot’ on the p320 magazine well.
The angle of the posterior edge of this tab is very very slightly too vertical. You can feel this oversize edge engage when inserting the magazine. It will insert fully, and the gun will fire the entire magazine properly.
BUT the tension created by the interface / abutment of the magazine basepad tab on the posterior surface of the magwell slot prevents the magazine from dropping free when the mag release is depressed. The magazine must be stripped out manually.
This renders this otherwise nice looking +3 basepad totally useless, certainly for competitive shooters and concealed carriers.
I have emailed Hyve about this issue, and even sent them pictures. So far their response has been ‘There’s not a problem’. I have offered to send them videos.
