will not run an M&P without one
By far this is a mandatory change for me. I like the OEM mag release, but this is so tactile and functional that I literally will not run an M&P without one. HIGHLY recommend
Hyve mag release
I'm glad Hyve is around because no one else is really making this part but them. At least, none that I could find. And I looked. It does exactly what I need it to do which is allow me to depress the mag release without breaking my grip. The factory release just sucks. The part itself is very well made and the install took less than 2 minutes. I like Hyve products, I've got a few of their mag extensions and I knew this would be a good buy for my pistol.

Works great, feels even better.
Makes the M&P feel even better, for someone with short hands it makes it easier to operate. It gives a good grip and of course makes reloads faster. I have the same device on other firearms and would definitely recommend. It is made out of aluminum so it is very sturdy. I like the color options but nothing beats black

Nice, But Needed Fitting
The stainless steel pin was just a bit too long to fit into the frame, I had to use a dremel to grind it down about 1mm to be flush with the aluminum body. After that it was as simple to swap as the factory one. Seems to function correctly, much easier to activate than the original. Because of the need to fit I only gave 4 stars.

Great product
If you own a Smith and We M&P pistol you need this product. Makes it easy to release the magazine. I have two on my pistols. It was the bed item that I installed on my pistol. Easy to install and worth the money. You won’t be disappointed.
