Junk, dont waste your $$$
Windage knob fell off. After only 30 rounds fired when mounted. Junk. I would not suggest this product. Yes it is steel but save your money and just buy magpul. I was weary of going cheap on back up sights and paid the price gambling on these.
Leaves a lot to be desired
This looks decent until you get up close to it. Made of cheap materials. I am basically using it for the look. That's most important right? I would not trust this for anything. I'm not even sold on the fact that it will stay mounted on the rail. I would spend the money on a real set of BUIS if you plan on actually using them.

a great back up sight if you have a great optic

It’s a sub $20 rear sight that has an all steel base, the rear sight Aperture is however polymer. The windage left and right clicks are crisp and tactile. You do have to push IN on the windage dial to rotate it left or right, once you have your adjustments just let go and it pushes out so it cannot be turned unless you push it in and rotate. The tension on the sight when stowed and in the upright position are solid. There’s no cant or wobble. I’m very impressed in the quality. I now run a Magpul pro front sight and this JE machine rear sight. Solid option for those of you who have quality optics but still want a solid sight for those just Incase moments.
