Meehhh... It's ok.
I would like to say first off.... by no means is this a bad choke. Jeb's, this is a well made choke, & quality is Top Notch !!
Just because it didn't do what I wanted, doesn't make it junk. At 25 yards this choke put 95-110 holes in a 8 1/2" x 11" turkey target consistently. ( the whole sheet of paper ) approx. 32 were in the turkey, 11 were in the vitals. It will do what it is supposed to do. Not as impressive as I thought it would be, but, still effective. I got the Rem 10 Headhunter .680, I think its too tight & possibly blows the patterns. This is still a work in progress, trying different things. I was working with a lighter load, thinking the the tighter constriction could possibly work better. Its a 10ga 1 1/2oz #6 lead load at 1250fps. ( approx. 366 pellets ) You would think this would have a pretty dense pattern at close range. At 35 yards, there were about 35-40 holes in the same target consistently. I know what your thinking.... Why such a light load for a 10 ? It's just something I'm working on for my own personal use. I have not tried the 2 ounce lead factory stuff yet, or the New specialty Turkey loads. This is what patterning is all about. Now, I know what needs fixed. Now its time for different wads & different powder loads. It's all about trial & error. These are "MY" findings with "MY" Rem SP-10. Every choke and barrel are different. This just goes to show that you need to put in the seat time at the range to know what you actually ...
