JP U-LMOS carrier group
This BCG is flawless, light, and offers an impeccable cycle. JP states this BCG is not for duty. I have had no problems cycling any type of 300BO with this BCG. After 1000 rounds I see no signs of wear. Also using JP silent capture H2 and JP adjustable gas block. These are both a must to maximize this BCG's potential and longevity. Especially with pistol gas. The key is not to over gas this BCG and keep it clean. If done, I don't see any reliability problems. I am certain this BCG does not have the longevity of a tool steel carrier. But like many high end AR products, it is about pushing limi...

Usually don’t give full 5 stars
Just like it says, I usually don’t give full five stars BUT this deserves it. I purchased 2 of these. I’ve put well over 1K rounds on each the past month. Doing drills and bench shooting. Running them dirty with fresh oil. No issues whatsoever. Machining is superb compared to others that I’ve owned over the past 25 years of competition, and I’m a machinist by trade. Very well done!!!

JP Rocks the House
Always had great luck with JP parts. Triggers in the past. Now this BCG.... it is super light, fast, and runs great after tuning with my hydraulic buffer and a custom ported gas tube (not a fan of adjustable gas blocks). I also own, let's see, 4 JP Enhanced Bolts, 2 of which are custom headspaced to Shilen barrels. Buy with confidence (except I think I got the last one....).

JP Bolt Carrier Group
You won't ever go wrong with JP stuff. It's a little pricey, but buy once, cry once. This is well made. Beautiful machining. Try the Silent Captured Spring system also. Optics Planet is the way to go. Fast shipping.

Review of Full Mass and Low Mass
Both are outstanding and butter smooth. Match yours to your use case - it’s very important.
I have a full mass BCG’s in all “must be reliable” rifles. Love them. No complaints and I highly recommend.
I had low mass BCG’s in two rifles, removed them, and swapped them for the JP full mass BCG’s. When sending the bolt forward from the bolt locked to the rear (empty mag / new mag scenario), I was getting a failure to feed or jam 100% of the time with a low mass BCG. The low mass didn’t have enough mass to push the 77gr bullets into the chamber properly is my guess. I also didn’t notice a different in recoil between the low mass and full mass. Regardless I’ll take reliability over possibly improved recoil, so the low masses are getting sold.

Very light carrier
This is by far the lightest carrier I have ever used. Typical of JP, build quality is flawless, finish and color perfect, and overall look is a 10. I am using this in a JP billet upper and combined with a Noveske “Navy” 9” barrel in 300blk. I have not put it through it’s paces much as of yet. What I have found in running it is that the hammer on a stock AR trigger assembly will strike the front of the opening in the carrier and cause the finish to crack or break away. This does not seem to happen with a slimmer or reduced weight hammer found in a drop in or aftermarket trigger upgrade. I will be using these in more builds, especially any I do where weight is a concern.
Pros:
- Very light
- excellent color and finish
- high end build quality
Cons:
- Finish can chip in regular use
Best Used for:
- Any lightweight AR build

Best BCG out there
I got this because Krieger Barrels will only chamber to a JP bolt. The cut is different than a standard BCG: It will not let the dust cover close unless the BGC is either locked back or fully in battery. It has extra bearing surface to ride in the upper receiver. The parts move with almost no friction.
Pros:
- Superb engineering design, perfect finish, functional
Cons:
- Expensive
Best Used for:
- Reliable function
