Can't speak for SBRs, but with 5.56 16"+ barrels & bullpups, the concussion is extremely reduced compared to an A2 birdcage. The recoil impulse is flat, and there is no flash visible in daylight. Most Helpful Negative Review 1.275 not 1.25

Be careful! I have a slimmer rail on my 300 blk build and I went to replace my can that also says it’s 1.25 , but on the wider parts after measuring this can the outside diameter is 1.275 and winds up being just a hare to large to fit inside my hand guard.

This is the second one of these I've purchased. The first was for my 9mm S&W FPC. I got this one for my S&W MP-15. It doesnt seem to help with recoil or muzzle rise, being a linear compensator, but what it does do is direct muzzle blast and noise downrange, away from me and my range neighbors. Anything that makes the shooting experience more enjoyable is worth getting to me, especially at this price. Its not a suppressor, but its not hundreds or thousands of dollars either and it doesnt have the restrictions.

Pros:

Inexpensive but well built
redirects concussion forward
easy to install, exactly as advertised

Cons:

Doesn't reduce recoil
doesnt stop muzzle rise

Best Used for:

Indoor Range Shooting
home defence .

Thread pitch off

I purchased this as a holder for my .300 blk while I waited for my form 4 from the atf for my suppressor. The compensator twisted on halfway before stopping. The thread pitch appears to be off about halfway through. Very displeased

pushes blast forward - perfectly

Adding this eliminates blast felt by spotter or anyone within 10 feet of me when I’m firing. Also, I didn’t notice recoil difference.

It works. It does as advertised and possibly the best in price to performance. Built like a 80's lego block.. its tuff. 10.5" on up, no issues. Wear ya ear pro tho.. be smart.

Review of Kaw Valley Precision 3.25in Magnum Linear Compensator

I bought this to replace a Kak Flash Can on a 12 in barrel for a 6.5 Grendel AR to help reduce noise while deer hunting. The before and after was night and day! Before I put this comp on, one shot would have my ears ringing for minutes. Since I installed this, I have had the chance to shoot at multiple deer, shooting 1-5 shots consecutively, and had no issues at all with my ears ringing.

I cannot speak to whether this actually helps with recoil mitigation, but I don't feel it has made recoil worse.

The only CON I can think of for this is its weight. It is heavier than I expected and I could definitely feel a difference in weight after putting it on my 12 in barrel 6.5 Grendel AR, but its noise reduction is absolutely worth it for me.

This has really saved my ears this rifle season and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to reduce noise without ear protection.
