Works as it should. Great product
Jaharless just install the buffer tube properly and you won’t need to “file a notch”. That design is meant for people that don’t know how to properly install a buffer tube anyway. Look for “enhanced” buffer tunes in the future if you need to have a notch.

incorrect buffer tube length.
I ordered this specifically for the 7 1/4" buffer and recieved one that is 7" will not allow bcg on a .308 ar10 to lock back.
308 buffer kit
The parts function as they should. But I didn’t receive what they have pictured. The weight is the only thing you get that’s pictured. The castle nut back plate and tube were not black anodized as they are in the pic. Also the logo is not on the buffer tube. Also the spring wasn’t the one in the pic

Great for a little 308 pistol build.
Yep, you read that right. Being an aging paraplegic with arthritis in the shoulders and one replaced, stretching out to support those 18-22 inch barrels isn't pleasant. I find 12 inch builds much more tolerable, and a 308 in this configuration is good for 600 yard shots (I'm just a target plinker. This one-stop kit was the perfect finishing touch with an SBA5 brace. A Nomad L can takes care of the bang and flash

Good & Bad
The finish on the buffer tube, castle nut, and retainer is terrible.
Also, the tube is pretty sloppy compared to the Aero Precision tube I replaced.
I do like the stronger spring and heavier weight on my 308 with a suppressor.

Seems to be good quality and has a good finish. The only thing that I don't like about the buffer tube is that there is no notch in the front where the buffer retainer is supposed to sit to line up the tube and receiver. I will have to cut a notch in it with a file for that myself but its not the first one I have had to do that too... why i couldn't give 5 stars

Mil-Spec??
I ordered the Kaw Valley Precision AR10 Milspec buffer tub kit and after installing it found out I was given a commercial tube... my DPMS stock won't fit, very disappointed... � The overall quality of the tube I received is what I'd call Far from Precision!!!

Works Great
I used this in a .224 Valkyrie build, with a Magpul PRS Gen 3. I am using the 4.3oz buffer (red). Runs smoothly with no FTF or short stroking. Recoil is minimal, so I'm calling it a win. One thing I really like is the compatibility of this kit. Buffer weight swaps are easily made to adjust as needed.
