Most Helpful Positive Review Works great for AR-9 builds
I purchased this buffer after a lot of research into building/tuning a 9mm AR-platform pistol/carbine. Since they operate on direct blowback, it is important to adjust your total reciprocating mass to reduce felt recoil, ensure proper cycling, prevent undue wear on the system, and (most importantly) delay blowback long enough for pressure in the system to drop to safe levels. Works as intended

Slowed down the 9mm to avoid oob detonation and felt recoil with the arc fire. It is longer so working through the lrbho with my foxteot mikes, if I can remedy that 5 stars.

Good quality

I weighed my bolt and with the addition of this 10oz buffer, my total reciprocating weight came to just under 24 ounces. My AR based 9mm runs great now with the longer, heavier buffer. Happy with the durability of the stainless steel construction and that the weights move freely inside the buffer.

Must have for AR-45

Weighed in at 10.62 oz + 14.5oz bolt + 7.8oz 2.25" solid steel spacer with a Tubb spring in a JRC buffer tube. Cycles great! Took all the snap out of the recoil. Had 1 failure to feed but the ETS (trash) Glock mag cracked at the top.
