Works great for AR-9 builds
I purchased this buffer after a lot of research into building/tuning a 9mm AR-platform pistol/carbine. Since they operate on direct blowback, it is important to adjust your total reciprocating mass to reduce felt recoil, ensure proper cycling, prevent undue wear on the system, and (most importantly) delay blowback long enough for pressure in the system to drop to safe levels. As such, I was specifically looking for an extended (~4 inch) buffer with internal sliding weights, and the KVP-10oz meets both criteria.

Perfect match for a 9mm w/frt
If your 9mm pew pew isn't running correctly, this right here is a must have, the elusive 10oz buffer. At times tougher to find than a 10mm socket, the Kaw valley 10oz buffer is the go-to.

KVP Stainless Heavy Buffer 10oz for AR9
This 10oz buffer works great in a short barrel AR9 pistol. It’s a bit longer than the normal buffer to help cycling blowback 9mm platform to not over extend towards the end of buffer tube. Works great with a super safety. Make sure to use a stronger firing pin spring on a FM9 or PCC BCG to prevent 2nd round dead trigger. The OEM spring is super weak and will get 2nd round dead trigger from a light strike. Stronger spring and heavy buffer (make sure it rattles to prevent bolt bounce) will correct SS failures.

Great choice for a 16-in ar9
I'm running this buffer with a kaw valley ar9 bolt and standard carbine spring and a ballistic advantage EPC enhanced barrel. So far it's been flawless (250rd).
