Updated review 1 year later

I initially gave this trigger a 5 star review. But after about 2,500 rounds this trigger gave me lots of problems. I got several light primer strikes with Federal XM193 ammo and PPU M193. I found this annoying but kept using the trigger. I then started getting hammer follow where the trigger would not lock back but there would be a fresh round chambered. Again this was annoying but I kept using it. Then I started getting fully automatic 2 round burst where the hammer follow would actually fire the next round. And then after the 2 round burst the hammer would not be locked back and there would be a fresh round in the chamber. The trigger was not dirty. These incidents happened over several range sessions and I cleaned it very thoroughly after each session. I have since removed the trigger and gone with another brand. I cannot trust this trigger. This is a shame because I really liked it and gave it 5 stars at first. Between the light primer strikes and failing to lock back trying to go full auto I cannot recommend this product. It is unreliable and even dangerous.
Pros:
  • Crisp trigger pull
Cons:
  • sear/hammer mating surface wore out
Best Used for:
  • range toy
Would recommend: No

Zero take up

by Chet, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on October 16, 2018
In case anybody was wondering how this trigger feels, it has zero take up. It doesn't budge even a fraction of an inch until it breaks. Totally firm with no wiggle or slop and no travel before the break. I don't have a scale but I would estimate the trigger pull is close to the advertised ~4 to 5 lbs. Reset is a nice short tactile click. Safety is also nice and smooth with a nice click into both positions but also not too hard to move.
Pros:
  • Zero slop
Cons:
  • A little pricey
