Ordered two but one defective - Kensight AK Fiber Optic Font Site Post Insert

Ordered two of these. Had to return one because the manufacturer (Kensight) didn’t bother milling out the middle of the sight where the fiber optic rod goes. I called Kensight and spoke to one of their customer service reps named “Shane” who, after I explained the issue and emailed him a photo of the incomplete sight, said he would “make things right.” Well two days went by and crickets... tried calling back but voice mail only. So I guess don’t expect any customer service from Kensight. Now I have to go through the RMA process with Optics Planet. I ended up having to pay for another sight up front because they only had one left in stock and if I waited for an exchange it would be back ordered.

As far as the one I kept. It appears well made and was relatively easy to install. You do need an AK front sight tool. Keep in mind you must have the sight post centered to adjust elevation. When sighting these in it easiest to adjust elevation first then adjust your windage. Sight it in before installing the fiber optic. It gives you a nice wide front post with a relatively fat fiber optic dot. Perfect for my 60 year old eyes! Great sight but one star off for Kensight’s poor customer service.
