Wanted to like it
Carried this knife less than a week before I noticed a problem with it. If I opened the blade with any force such as flipping it open or using its “wave opening” feature, the blade lock would overextend & become too tight to release by hand. It’d require a screwdriver or another knife to pry on it to release. If I opened it gently then it would work properly, but that’s not realistic to do every time I need it. Returned as defective. I will be buying a different model to replace it because I don’t want to get the same model & risk having the same problem. Other than this issue I really like the knife. It’s heavy in the hand but doesn’t weigh your pocket down. Very sharp. I like the “wave opening” feature. I really wanted to like this knife but I can’t recommend it based on my experience.

Kershaw CQC8
Outstanding value. Emerson quality at Kershaw prices. Superior quality, blade sharpness, quality control and great looks with functionality. I feel that the Kershaw/Emeron's combined efforts are some of the best values in the EDC market available. No adjustments or tweaking needed and was perfect out of the box. My only comment is that I wish they produced some serrated combo blade's. This knife is excellent product at a great price. As alway, great service from Optics Planet!!!
