I am really impressed with overall design and finish. It's no longer than an A2 maybe shorter. And its not to heavy. Looks bad a$$! Other poster obviously ordered a 5/8 instead of a 1/2 thread for 5.56 or something.

Works ok for a small caliber rifle like 22 or 22 mag. Not so got on a ar15 platform

Decent brake

Installed one on my AR in 6.5 Grendel (5/8x24), well made and finished. Quieter than other brakes or even an A2 flash hider but no recoil reduction. Four stars, subtracted one for the finish since i originally thought it was nitride but is actually black oxide which wears quickly and is prone to rust, gonna have to paint it.

.223 has 7.62 exit opening - just don’t bother

Got the .223 / 5.56 compensator mx-08s-01-b. The exit opening is 308 / 7.62 size. It will allow 9mm round to pass through. Threads are 1/2 so they’re making one part with different thread options. I’m adding to shorty for flash forward but also needed to function as a little more dwell and not happy, at all. OP shouldn’t sell this sub-par pos. Lined up for picture with real 223 comp but pics not an option here.

  • Tangible item
  • low cost you can throw in parts bin as reminder to avoid this manufacturer
Cons:
  • Oddly manufactured and marketed as .223
Best Used for:
  • Paperweight
  • returning if you like time wasting
  • reminder China manufacturers have poor quality and shady marketing

Wrong size

Ordered a 5.56 muzzle brake for ar15 and was sent a muzzle that has threads WAY to large for my ar15, very disappointed after waiting and excited waiting for this last little piece to finish my ar build just for it to not fit, if it is the correct item then it should be listed that it needs an adapter but I’m pretty positive that’s not the case.
