Hello Ruger, 10/22 fans! Factory original part called the "Bolt stop pin", all steel. While I firmly believe the Ruger 10/22 is one of the best little semi autos ever made, in doing my upgrade this replacement part made sense to me. The steel-on-steel contact you get with the factory original steel stop pin doesn't make sense to me. Now there are two aftermarket bolt stops I have found; this is one of them. pretty simple part but a good tight fit. Install was a bit of a pain but only took a few minutes, this went on a stripped receiver of a new build

10/22 BUFFER BOLT

I was using a buffer bolt I made using Teflon bolt heads which I measured and cut to size, but I kept changing them out often. I decided to try the KIDD bolt buffer and I was very surprised how easy it was to install and then run the steel pin with a bit of light gun grease to slide it into the center. I'll follow up with more info after I run a bit of rounds thru the rifle.

  • EASY INSTALL
Cons:
  • Doesn't quite fit on the end to end fitting due to it being short. Would like it to be a bit longer so it can be cut to size as needed.

What a difference.

This part seems to be very quiet. Changes everything. Feel better when I'm shooting and I don't have to hear that twang clang noise. The only thing left to do is really see how long it's going to last.

Kidd 10-22 Bolt buffer pin

Bought this for my suppressed 10-22. The bolt slapping the steel pin was lounder then the report. Installed the kidd pin and no more noise... perfect!! Did the job.. thank you!!!

kidd buffer

This buffer is great! Makes the action a little more quiet and soft. It is a little difficult to install. You’ll need to use a fair amount of oil to get it to slide into receiver.

The bolt buffer works just like it’s supposed to. Highly recommend. I have them on both my 10/22’s
