Misleading and false drscription

by USMC 0802, from TX, United States Written on January 11, 2026
To start with, it is not stainless steel or saf-t-clad coated. Luckily the other kleen bore set I purchased is saf-t-clad coated with plastic. This is nothing more than a ferrous metal steel 4 piece rod very similar to the military issued rods stored in A2 buttstocks. I didn’t measure but the package states it is 32.25” and not 34”. It does come with a slotted patch holder but does not come with a brush or a bore mop.
In summary I’m most disappointed that iit doesn’t have the plastic safety coating like the other kleen bore rods (even an uncoated smooth stainless steel rod would be safer to use). I’m not as concerned about the missing mop and brush but the extra mop and brush I ordered cost me $6.
If you want a military issue replacement to use on rifles you didn’t pay for or have a cheap barrel where potential damage or accuracy issues aren’t a concern, then this is a perfect choice. It even has the built in handle permanently attached to the rod and folds over to create the “T”. Would also work great as a compact rod to carry to use for stuck cases.

Cleaning rod

by richard, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on August 22, 2025
Second time I have purchased this kit. I found the first kit to be of the first quality. This second kit is even better. Not because the rod is better but because they went to the trouble of improving the pouch. The rod is just a rod. Well made but still just a rod. They went to the trouble of improving a very functional pouch. Shows a commitment to their product.
