Reticle canted from factory at 10 degree angle
Title says it all. The reticle was canted relative to the turrets by about 10 degrees clockwise. Windage adjustments affect elevation and vice versa. A description of the seriousness of this type of production issue can be found on AccurateShooter. Their recommendation:
"Our point here is that it is time for the major scope-makers to address this problem and improve their quality control. That will happen sooner if consumers pay greater attention to reticle alignment during the purchasing process. If you have a scope with a canted reticle, send it back to the maker and ask for the problem to be fixed. If enough shooters do that, we expect the scope-makers will take notice and improve their products."
Regarding the glass itself, adjustable objective is marked in yards and meters from 10-100-Inf. It actually works and is a must-have for my purposes. I dedicated this as a CMP highpower scope. Unfortunately the glass quality leaves much to be desired. There is significant spherical aberration and fuzziness. There is no ocular fast focus adjustment. It comes with 3/8" dovetail ring mounts. The scope caps are see-through and better than Bushnell's. A microfiber cloth and hex key is included. The reticle is etched glass. Konus claims this scope is Japanese glass, assembled in China.
The turrets are old-fashioned. They have indexed discs beneath a rectangular knob, but no indexing notch on the body itself to match up with it. Use a permanent pen. You will over-click as a matter of...
