Most Helpful Positive Review Lapua Brass
Simply the standard by which all other brass is compared. Amazing tolerances in weight consistency. Although it has always been about twice the cost of most popular brands but hasn't risen in price compared with the lesser quality brass that has been on the rise and will out last and out perform in every way.

Great brass but not the same as I used to buy 12 years ago

by Hoov, Verified Owner from NV, United States Written on May 18, 2025
I’m a huge Lapua fan. I run their brass whenever I can. First off, I really like the plastic boxes that used to come with it. They were handy for storing all kinds of shooting stuff. Now they come in a paper box with a paper case holder. IMO EVERYTHING is made cheaper nowadays. I believe that this brass is not quite as good as the brass I used to buy a decade ago. However, it is good brass and I will continue to run it. I have great luck with Lapua brass. I use it to run my subsonics with trail boss and my supersonics with 4064 and BLC2. You may want to inspect each piece for burrs, I found 3 that needed a lil attention out of my last batch. I do not shoot bench rest, but I am a precision shooter. Some guys are much more picky than I am. If I can keep my extreme spread under 20 fps and shoot half inch groups at 100 yard that’s good enough for me.

Good quality product.

I wanted some unfired, good quality brass for handloading, and that's exactly what I got. I received my order in less than a week, which I really appreciate, given how hard it is to find reloading components these days.

Pros:
  • Great product - does very well what is supposed to do.
Cons:
  • very diifficult to find
Best Used for:
  • Repeatable loads

best brass made

by Dave, from GA, United States Written on March 21, 2021
a little spent but this brass lasts a long time. Good stuff. Make sure its in stock before ordering. Not for plinking really, but for when every shot counts. Some folks say 308 lasts 10 or more firings. Can't say yet but my RP brass wont.

Lapua brass

by Rich, from LA, United States Written on November 3, 2020
This brass offers Excellent consistency in neck wall thickness as well as overall weight. Lapua brass runs thicker than other brass I have used with no need for neck trimming. Neck wall thickness very uniform. Able to reload many times with stable SD. Prime pockets stand up well to reloads as well and easily primed with hand held primer. Lapua runs a bit more price wise however you are getting the best quality product which can be used over and over reducing the cost.
Best Used for:
  • Target/ hinting

by Amoxom, from MN, United States Written on August 14, 2020
The best brass there is no question. Very consistent weights and capacity. Expensive, but will last for many reloads. This brass gets me a sub a low Standard Deviation of 6 or 7 on my chronograph with good handloading technique.
Pros:
  • Very consistent

  • None
