Best trigger out there for the money
Have Larue MBT triggers in almost ever one of my rifles. Have some others too, but the Larue goes in any gun I really use. Well designed, well built and smooth as silk. Love ‘em! OP now sells them, so it’s even better.

Is this a bad trigger? No, it's it a great compairison to high end Geisselle or Hiperfires? Absolutely not even close. Trigger pull around 4.5 on the gage. Very short reset. Would make a great combat trigger but if you're looking for a cheap alternative for a precision trigger, look elsewhere. The w...

Prioritizing 2 stage dependability, this is my favorite trigger on the market. Just ordered my second one as I am slowly replacing my mil spec triggers..

EXCELLENT TRIGGER
I don't know why anyone would spend more, let alone, buy another trigger besides this one for their AR. It is, well, it's perfect. I love the slightly wider surface, standard "curve." Another no-nonsense product from LaRue. And the price...wow

Crisp as a Fall morning's breeze
First, it was easy to install. I installed mine on a AR10 I have set up for the long shots. Slight pressure on the trigger and the spring tension is taken up, about 1-2mm, It stops, and when you apply pressure (2.5 lbs or use the included heavier spring) it releases as if it isn't there, it's that smooth and crisp. After the shot just slightly release pressure, get a click you can feel, and it's ready to pop again. Just about the smoothest, most crisp released trigger I ever used.
Pros:
- Smooth & Crisp operation
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- accuracy and precision

Great 2 stage trigger
Was fantastic for my AR. As a newcomer to the world of ARs, I am very happy with this trigger in terms of both installation and quality. The installation was very easy and the diagram was beneficial for me. Had I took pictures before disassembly I would not have likely needed the diagram, but LaRue thought ahead and accounted for my foolishness. The trigger itself is very nice, with the break being very good. Very good build up to the break as well.

This trigger is absolutely incredible!
Let me just cut to the chase: I love this product. I finally pulled the trigger (pun intended) on buying the LaRue MBT-2S after reading all the hype, and it absolutely lives up to every bit of it.
The best way I can describe it is that it feels very comparable to high-end triggers that cost twice as much. I'm talking about the big names like Geissele. The break is unbelievably crisp and clean—like snapping a glass rod every single time. The reset is super short and incredibly positive, so you know exactly when it's ready to fire again. It makes rapid, accurate follow-up shots so much easier.
The two-stage design is perfect. The first stage takes up the slack with a smooth, light pull, and then you hit that firm, predictable wall before the clean break. It gives you so much control and really helps with accuracy.
For the price, I honestly don't think there is a better trigger on the market. LaRue could easily charge a lot more for this. You are getting premium, top-tier performance without the premium price tag. It has completely transformed the feel of my rifle.
If you're on the fence about this trigger, just get it. You will not be disappointed. Five stars, without a doubt

Good trigger
This is a very good trigger for the price point, a 2 lb first stage with a 2.5 lb second stage and a nice clean break.

Better than a Geissele?
Purchased direct rather than through OP, but feel compelled to review anyway. I had a Geissele SSA-X Lightning Bow in one of my ARs, got one of these for a second AR I was building and ended up replacing my SSA-X with this one and I used the extra money from selling the Geissele to buy ammo instead.
Good enough that when I took a 2-day carbine course I scored as the top-shot.
Good enough that I beat the instructor at said course in a 2-stand 2-crouch 2-prone drill.
Good enough that I'm going to put one of these in every AR I build moving forward, and you should too.
But how does it ACTUALLY compare to a $300 Geissele? My finger can't tell the difference. Yours probably can't either.
But how does it compare to a lesser trigger? I just got a used AR that came with a Schmid 2-stage, which retails on OP for about $95. The Schmid is nice, but has a tiny bit of creep in the 2nd stage that's only really detectable if you're feeling for it. The LaRue doesn't have any creep in the 2nd stage, and it's only about $20 more.
