Pig killing aid

I’ve had mixed results with thermals because it’s so hot in the summer here. So I got some night vision and this laser. It works like a charm. I was surprised how close it was to zero med in decriminalize the factory. I put it in the rail, put my bore sighter in and it was approximately 2” off at 50 yards with no adjustment.

  • Easy to see in both green and IR, long distance.

  • Pigs and other night varmints.

As good as advertised

I don’t have a ton of experience with other IR lasers, but this unit does what they say it will and is exactly what I hoped it would be. Laser is visible well past my intended engagement distance and mount is quick and secure. The IR Illuminator is also great for CQ distances. I run it with an Axion switch. Liked it so much I got another one.

another weak illuminator

Unless you're buying this for its cool factor for the price, there's better. The first and most important is laser bases illuminator suck as far as civilian models go. Ir and vis laser are the same as any other civilian model, so why pay the high price? I think the better option is a led based illuminator if you want a usable setup. Or separate laser module and separate ir illuminator. Full power dbal = good civilian dbal = bad.

Solid laser / illuminator

I purchased this for its amazing weight and size. It is small but excellent for 100yards or less...which is perfect for my applications. Haven't tried it farther ot indoors and can't comment on reliability yet but I am impressed so far.

This was the IR illuminator I had been searching for recently but noticed most dealers were out of stock. I found a sweet deal at Optics Planet and purchased it. So there have been no problems. Easy sight in using the visible laser with my scope settings. I'm good to go, thank you Optics Planet!!

Blue nut issue on the device

For those whom questioned the blue bolt- one review compared it to a rev limiter- perfect example. Removing the nut will allow the device to operate at a higher power therefore producing stronger laser and IR beams. I do not know if this increase in power takes above civilian power limits. I can guess, drive that nut and it will produce a VERY strong beam, considerably stronger than ANY laser I’ve ever used. Ps-I’m not stating whether or not this adjustment affects in legality, you do that research please
