I love it! I use the IR laser most. This item was on backorder and I didn't receive until after my NV monocular, so it was with great anticipation that I mounted it on my AR to sight in. The construction is tough as hell, and is understandibly heavy. I love the ease of sighting it in... Just lin...

I was really looking forward to the CQBL-1 because of its design and the fact that it's made in America. I was sure to purchase it in "new" condition to avoid any unwanted surprises. That ultimately didn't matter. The top and side of the case was smeared with epoxy residue! It looked like the fa...

This is a great laser for a smaller compact AR/PCC. I have a PEQ15 and got this to run with my smaller set ups and it works great. If you’re worried about not having the Illuminator you can always get a vampire light to go with. Steiner is a great company and backs their products. Optics planet is always amazing and they ship super fast. The customer service is top notch as well.

An excellent visible and IR laser pointer that is compact, lightweight works well on top of the handgaurds or on the side. I especially like the co-aligned visible and IR laser adjustments. Sight-in the visible laser and the IR laser will be sighted in to the same location. Steiner makes durable, proven lasers that work in the real world. Paying for quality the first time is far cheaper, less expensive over the long haul than buying poor quality the first time and discovering the low quality item does not perform well//malfunctions then spending additional money for the quality that should have been purchased the first time. The CQBL-1 costs more than the "piantball gamers" pointers, but then again, I'm not playing piantball games either. Size, weight, dual lasers, co-aligned adjustment, a low mount that doesn't block an optics field of view when mounted on the top of the handguard rail and manufacturer's quality build and materials make the Steiner CQBL-1 one of the best Steiner visible/IR dual laser pointers on the market outside of the government/military issued battlefield laser's.

The Steiner CQBL-1 is a great IR/Vis laser with low form factor. The laser quality and repeatability are far superior to cheaper models I have used in the past. 1 adjustment aligns both lasers which is nice, only complaint is this model does not offer simultaneous activation like the DBAL models.
Positives are light weight (all things considered) and the tape switch is excellent. The cost is a bit steep, but if you are using off brand lasers this will certainly open your eyes. Price is a little firm, but as with any other optical accessory, you get what you pay for.
Pros:
Size
rugged
Solid Mounting
quality tape switch
Cons:
cost
only 1 laser active at a time
Best Used for:
CQB operations
Low light operations
co-witness
IR signaling

This is a great IR laser. I have purchased two of these sights and am thoroughly satisfied with its performance. It is light weight and low profile. The visible red laser is synced to the IR laser which makes sighting it in a breeze. I have killed hogs at 150 yards with this sight with no problem. You will need to get an IR illuminator to use with this because the IR is so bright that is blooms a lot at close range. Overall this is great value.
Pros:
easy to use.
Low profile,
Light weight.
Cons:
None
