Most Helpful Positive Review LaserLyte Side Mount Laser S&W
Excellent addition to my S&W 638 BodyGuard. Small, compact and out of the way. Installed easily. I did have a small gap resulting where the mounting plate goes under the Hogue Bantam grip (mainly cosmetic)- a few minutes of trimming the grip and its fine. If you shoot with the left hand, you can swi...

Most Helpful Negative Review Laserlyte CK-SW laser doesn't work
I'm a retired cop, a firearms instructor and armorer, a competitive shooter, with 45+ years shooting experience. I had to send the first unit back because it wouldn't hold zero. The jury is still out on the replacement. I tried this laser to compare it to Crimson Trace, as a lower cost alternati...

LaserLyte for S & W J-Frame

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on April 5, 2011
I mounted this laser on a S&W model 60 with a 3" heavy barrel and a Hogue one piece rubber grip. The grip required a large piece to be trimmed away, but it was easy and the result looked like the laser was part of the grip. The red dot shows up very brightly during use in various lighting conditions. The LaserLyte is packaged with EVERYTHING you need; 3 Allen Wrenches, 2 complete sets of batteries etc. I believe the LaserLyte is the least expensive of the High Quality handgun lasers available and recommend the product.
Pros: Easy to Install, Bright Dot, Good Value, Made in USA
Cons: None
Would recommend: Yes

Laserlyte product

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on March 19, 2011
I like the laser, the hardware mounts to existing hole pattern under the grip. This prevents the grip from seating completely against the frame when the mounting screw is re-attached. Easy to adjust the laser position, like it, would recommend to anyone.
Pros: Easy to install and calibrate
Cons: Mounting hardware holds grip out slightly

I am very happy with the Laser Lyte side mount Laser. I have a S&W "J" square butt and no one makes a laser that will fit this gun. The LaserLyte side monut was the answer.
Pros: Works great on my S&W "J" frame

Nice Package

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from AZ, United States Written on January 6, 2011
My wife has a S&W AirLite Titanium small frame in.32 H&R Magnum. As it has only the cut notch and ramp for sights it was hard for her to group shots, she no longer has that problem. Installation of your side mount took only minutes, was straight forward and it still fits in her molded holster. A great value!
Pros: Fit, ease of use, price
Cons: n/a

Laserlyte CK-SW Sidemount Laser

by JH, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on November 23, 2010
I bought this for my S&W 442 Airweight. It says in the installation instructions that you should use the -SH adapter plate for shrouded hammer revolvers, so I figured this would be true for fully enclosed hammer revolvers as well. It isn't. For some reason, the panel that is marked for exposed hammer revolvers (CK-SN) is the one that actually fit. I was a few minutes away from packing the unit up and sending it back when I decided to try the other panel, and it worked like a charm. Haven't had the chance to take it to the range yet, but have easily adjusted the red dot at 15 feet and plan to do so again at 20-21. Not looking for pinpoint accuracy, just MOBadguy.
Pros: Ease of installation, ease of adjustment
Cons: Product information isn't complete
