i bought this laser for my S&W model 60 ..38cal.rev. & had to send it back.. it will not fit a S&W model 60 . it leaves a gap at trigger guard , its not built for this j frame. I would like to know who makes a leaser for the S&W model 60 ..!!
Most Helpful Negative Review Needs additional handyman work
Purchased this for my wife’s hand gun used for personal protection at close range. The laser works fine but problems with the front bolt. The plastic housing that fits around the front part of the trigger guard needed to be ground out to fit and the bolt at that location will not draw the plasti...

SW Laser for revolver

by Porter, from WV, United States Written on June 15, 2017
Great product. Mounts flawlessly in just a few minutes. Very easy to adjust windage or elevation. Factory set at about 15 yards, I moved it to 10 yards. A must have for CC. Very bright laser, somewhat dull in bright daylight, but what laser isn't??

Makes Wifey Shoot better.

by Hillbillyhellfire, from TX, United States Written on April 26, 2016
I installed this laser on my wife's Smith And Wesson 367 and it fits very tight. I can remove it after sighting it in, and clean the gun, then put it back on and its right back on its original sighting. Adjusting it requires a steady touch, I had to shoot about 20 rounds to get it perfect. Now I can hit the dot at 20 yards in a 1.75 grouping with a gun rest. As for my wife, she can hit inside the target at 20 yards. It also helps to install a spring kit for the S&W 637 to reduce the trigger pull and hammer, along with polishing the internal mechanisms.

Does Not Fit pre-1996 S&W 442 and 642 Airweight Centennials

by MSR Gal, from TX, United States Written on February 3, 2016
If your S&W Airweight Centennial is the later, post 1996, 442-1, 442-2, 642-1, or 642-2 then this laser will fit.

LaserMax literature and web site states that this fits the "442" and "642" (no dash mentioned). It does not. The pre-1996 442 "no-dash" and 642 "no-dash" have a 0.060" shorter frame and cylinder than the later "-1" and "-2" models. So you have to compress the laser housing 0.060" to mount it and with this much strain in the housing it will never stay on through repeated firings.

It’s not a quality issue, it’s just that LaserMax does not seem to be aware that there was a major dimensional changes to the S&W Centennial in 1996.

Excellent laser for the money!!!!

by Lance, from IL, United States Written on December 1, 2015
The lasermax For the J-Frame fit my gun perfectly. Its steady and very bright. It was also very easy to install. Good instructions and also a Youtube video to help if need be. The laser seems to show up very well in the daytime as lasers go realizing that most don't do very well in bright sunlight. Very good product!!
Pros:
  • Very bright out door shooting
  • Slim for concelement
Cons:
  • None

Lasermax S&W J-frame Sight

by GW, from IL, United States Written on January 20, 2015
Not impressed. Seems cheaply made, switch does not work for lefthander (supposed to work from either side). Going to return to OpticsPlanet and explore one of the grip sights from Crimson Trace. Kind of ugly, too.
