Most Helpful Positive Review Lasermax comment
The mounting screws are not as secure into plastic as screws into metal nuts. Allen screws that match the included allen wrench would be better. You must fire a few rounds to settle the sight before attempting to adjust the sight. then only very slight adjustment moves the sight quite a bit, do it...

Most Helpful Negative Review Very difficult to mount
LaserMax is very difficult to mount. It requires you replace the crane hinge pin with one provided with an extension. I tried for 45 minutes to get the pin to the correct length that the left and right sides of the laser housing would match up. But I could not. I also purchased an AIMSHOT laser for ...

Good little light

by Billy Smith, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on November 14, 2025
This light fits the P 365 X Macro Perfect with the #5 rail in the package added to it . Take light out of package put #5 rail on then install light and your done unless you want to put the optional on off buttons on it . The light is a little pricey but well worth it in my opinion. It will definitely light up the inside of a dark house very well .

This laser was easy to install and fits well to gun . Haven’t had a chance to try it yet but did line it up with open sights so it should be real close .

Lasermax for Ruger LCR

by Silverfoxes, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on September 28, 2025
Was looking for a laser for a Ruger LCRx for home defense but could not stomach paying well over $300 for a CT Lasergrip device. Researched this brand with good reviews and paid less than half the price of their competitor. Easy to install, easy to use and works well. Would recommend.
Pros:
  • Simple to install and use, with a bright red laser.
Cons:
  • Some adjustment needed to line up with sights
Best Used for:
  • Home defense for a revolver

It's like it was meant to be there all along

by James, Verified Owner from NY, United States Written on July 19, 2025
Finally had some time to test the laser. I'm not a giant man but I'm not a little person either. I have to stretch my trigger finger out of it's normal resting position in order to reach the power button. Not a deal breaker but would be nice to have the button where my finger naturally rests.

It's like it was meant to be there all along

Just installed my LCR to my Ruger LCR 22LR. Took less than 5 minutes. Laser lines up perfectly with my iron sites. Such a seamless integration is as though the laser was always part of the revolver. Perfect.

Fits LCRX 22wrm

by Tim, Verified Owner from AR, United States Written on April 9, 2021
I had read mixed reviews on figment of this item. It fits good on the LCRX 22wmr with 3” barrel. Just make sure the mounting screw is seated correctly and tight. My only concern with the item is longevity of the housing with screws fitting into plastic, after a few battery changes it will eventually weaken I am afraid. Not many other options, so this is it for the LCR series.
Pros:
  • Fit, looks good on gun, seems to hold zero well.
Cons:
  • Have to take apart to change batteries.

Weak Product

by Brian K Hartman, from OH, United States Written on January 17, 2021
Installed on the LCR 9mm today and it will not hold zero. Start out and co-witnessed the laser with sight, with every round fired the laser POA would change several inches from co-witness in both elevation and windage. checked for any mounting issues but none found so stopped chasing it around and put it away. Will be calling Lasermax.
Pros:
  • Ergonomical
Cons:
  • wont hold zero
Would recommend: No

Mounting is weak

by Mike, Verified Owner from NH, United States Written on September 15, 2019
I was concerned when installing this that the tiny screws in plastic would stand up to recoil. When I finally got the chance to fire the Ruger LCR 9mm with this unit attached,... it slid down the trigger after the first few shots. I really think this was engineered by a moron. Could have been designed a lot better.
Pros:
  • Size
Cons:
  • poor design
  • poor battery life
  • Weak Mounting
  • Poor Battery Choice
Best Used for:
  • Amusing a cat

Lasermax red laser sight.

by Jay, from MI, United States Written on December 24, 2017
I love the way this sight looks on the pistol. Puts you on target, fast. No hesitation. Having no problems at all with this laser sight. I plan on buying a couple more for my other pistols. Well worth the money.
