Most Helpful Positive Review Sweeeeeeeeet!
This is by far the easiest laser to use. Out of the box, I had it installed in under 1.5 minutes and was shooting 2" groups at 20 yards with a Taurus PT92AF 9mm. With open sites, the best grouping I could do was 12" at 20 yards. This laser eliminates the guesswork of where the shot is.
Most Helpful Negative Review DON'T BUY...here's why...
There are several reviews on these internal Lasermax pistol products. Most buyers claim it is an amazing product but mine was quite the opposite. Going back, I see many 5 star reviews are from shooters that were initially impressed, but we never see the follow-up from field-testing. Someone actua...

Beretta lazer site.

by JD, Verified Owner from WI, United States Written on April 8, 2025
Green dot, not red. I prefer the green. Easy istall and good directions. Site doesn't alter or interfere with the existing outline of the pistol. I strongly recommend this site to all Beretta owners.

Great product very easy to install, directions need to be more precise for a new gun user but as a retired Army man I thought it was pretty easy.

Fits like a glove in my Beretta 92FS

by George, from MA, United States Written on May 10, 2024
The only problem I have is that the laser pulses and even though I read the directions several times and followed them. I have been unable to get the laser to stop pulses and just have a steady beam of light.

Does not properly fit in either Model 9TWO or model 96.

by shoe, Verified Owner from TN, United States Written on March 14, 2024
Disassembly latch is not a replacement for OEM. Pistol can not be reassembled with replacement latch installed. First purchase failed, exchanged for a second which also failed for the exact same reason. Kudos to Optics Planet's hassle free exchange of first and then return of second. It would be nice to be able to put pics on the review which would easily show the problem. Replacement latch could be modified with a file to allow reassembly but it would still not be long enough to be properly supported on both ends by the frame causing a potential safety issue.

LaserMax Laser Sight for Full Size Beretta 92

by Joe, from FL, United States Written on October 31, 2023
Took the new Beretta 92 with the new and installed LaserMax Laser Sight to the range today. First shot with just iron sights to get a feel for the Beretta, it grouped well. Put new target up and used Lasermax, it also grouped well, had to correct for point of aim, but it was consistent in grouping. Based on my personal experience, it was worth the price. It is very easy to install. Step 1 remove the slide as you normal would, put frame to the side. Remove guide rod and spring and replace guide rod with Lasermax rod. reinsert into slide, make sure the flat side of the back of the rod rides on the barrel. Step 2 pick up your frame and turn the take down lever past it's normal position until lever id pointing up from frame, pull it out, be careful the button on the other side doesn't fall out. Place the supplied take down lever into the frame with lever pointing up. when it's in, depress button and rotate lever to the downward position, you might have to push a little more than usual, but it will rotate. Reinstall slide and rotate lever to normal position. rack slide to make sure all functions correctly. On right side of pistol push the extended part of take down lever laser should come on. to shut laser off, depress button in center of take lever on the lever side of frame. All in all, easy installation, easy on and off and it was consistent.
Hope this helps

Not quite accurate

by Randy Ailie, Verified Owner from WA, United States Written on July 18, 2023
I went out to the range and shot off a full couple hundred rounds. It didn't take long to figure out the laser and my red dot sight were off when I aligned my sight to the laser. Our grouping was off. The laser is definitely convenient. However, if you like to lube your spring, beware, a touch too much oil on the contact surfaces will interfere with the ground of the laser. So if yours isn't lighting up this is most likely the problem. Also the spring is impossible to precision fit and hold the laser assembly perfectly straight. So the laser will be off a full three or more inches at 30ft no matter what you try as the assembly will slightly skew off center as the spring twists, which causes it to expand and it is what holds the laser in place. This will inevitably push or allow the laser to slightly move off to one side or the other. So if you want an exact laser sight that is precise, this isn't the one. Get a solid gun mount version. However, this one is bright and it is very easy to install and activate. I have several reasons I am not a flashlight guy with a pistol, half of them due to legal ramifications. The other due to blinding the user with that same light leaving you night blind. But this mod does leave room for one if that is your thing. And at night it is super bright, so if you need to find your target, you will without needing any extra light. This laser will definitely do that! In full summer daylight we had some trouble seeing it on certain targets, if at all....

Easy to install

by William Noe, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on March 10, 2023
I found it very easy to install. The instructions were well written and easy to follow. I did it in less than 10 minutes. There are videos available on their website but I didn’t need them. I’m sorry I didn’t get one sooner for my Beretta 92!
Pros:
  • Built in unobtrusive
Cons:
  • price is a bit high
Best Used for:
  • Home and/or personal defense

Works great until you fire a few rounds.

by Richard Truelove, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on July 13, 2022
Save your money! Yes, it is easy to install. Yes, it is easy to turn on and off. That's where the positive comments stop. Once you start firing rounds it will turn on, then will stop working until you fidget with the switch. The problem persisted through 150 rounds of 9mm. I am sorry that I spent the money for this. My advice avoid this and pick a different laser...
Pros:
  • Easy to install
Cons:
  • Unreliable
Best Used for:
  • Sitting in a warehouse

Green Laser Sight for Beretta 92 Almost Perfect

by Warchitech, Verified Owner from OR, United States Written on February 24, 2022
Installation easy, fits perfectly. Only problem is that it is supposed to operate with push button from either side of the replacement disassembly latch. By design, when the push buttons (right and left) extend equally on either side of the latch there is no electrical contact (default laser off position). This is accomplished by a non-conductive stripe that is supposed to be painted in the center of the lever. The lever I received was painted off-center (likely an overlooked manufacturing defect) and so the laser operates when the button is pushed to the center position and to the far left. Normally, I would have returned the product for a replacement but find that since I am a right-handed shooter, I will always operate the on position with my right forefinger and having the off (default) position with the button extended to the far right makes it easier to identify tactilely and so I actually prefer this.
Pros:
  • Quality engineering
  • Does not add bulk to the firearm
Cons:
  • Minor defect - see review
