Most Helpful Positive Review Works well but finicky
Works as advertised. Unobtrusive to add to current setup- slots between my light and mounting rail However changing the mode from pulse to steady is a pain. It took me numerous tries and I was about to send it back for an exchange as defective but finally chanced on the right timing. Now that it's set to steady mode I have no complaints. It's plenty bright for most distances.

Best bang for the buck

by Phantom30, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on May 17, 2016
I just ordered my second one of these for use on 300 BLK rifles. Structurally this unit is fairly flimsy, but it works. The manual is available on line under Lasermax Uni. It supports seven different lasers in this class product. The rail attachment is well thought out so you don't lose pieces in the dark. Fits nicely in front of my grip pod. The alignment Allen wrench is very small and easily lost. Alignment is delicate. Best done with a visible laser already aligned and used with your daylight filter on your NVG to bring into alignment with visible laser. Battery compartment screws another source concern but functional. Works just great, good strong targeting dot. Went beyond my NVGs ability to resolve (>500 yards). Documented output power <0.7mW, Wavelength 800-900nm often cited in the center at 850nm. The slide switch can be an issue, inadvertent turn on can be prevented with care and an innovative fix of your own design. You need to know how to switch mode settings and practice it. Or spend another $150 for the switching kit. Great bang for the buck.

Fine performance for the money

by Ugotter, from NC, United States Written on August 8, 2015
This little laser sight is easy to install and works great within closely confined areas. It is small enough to mount to pistol rails, but also will mount to picatinny rails per their instruction (I have not tried installation on an AR style weapon yet).
Pros:
  • Inexpensive
  • Versatile
Cons:
  • Lower power
  • smaller than expected
Best Used for:
  • Handgun close quarters

Infrared Laser Sight

by Billy G, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on July 14, 2015
I had wanted something for pig, coyote, and just 'in general' critter hunting @ night. Its my hope that this will work with my night vision. Will try it out soon, then report back with an update. My reason for five star rating is it's size....barely noticeable.

IR laser works as instructed

by Chris, from TX, United States Written on July 11, 2015
Have this for IR use Works well It is in blinking mode Tried to set it for steady on but the code is a little frustrating so I have left it on flashing/blinking mode Also does not appear to be extremely waterproof simply water resistant/maybe for simple submersion at most Not sure if will take substantial abuse we shall see Overall it does enhance my night capabilities
