Most Helpful Positive Review Leapers AccuShot 4-16x56mm The best scope for the money
I have used mil-dot scopes for over 30 years as a sniper for the US Army. If your looking for a very good quality scoop and can't put a lot of money into a Leopold , or other very costly scopes. This is the way to go. Works perfect and does everything the other scopes will do. This scope can do eve...

Most Helpful Negative Review You get what you paid for.
This scope was compared against a Leupold of like magnification and found to be quite inferior in terms of clarity and brightness in the upper range of it's magnification. It was intended to be mounted and used for patrol duty. This scope has no place as on a patrol weapon. Due to the return poli...

Poor quality merchandise

by cca50, Verified Owner from AL, United States Written on January 12, 2016
Nice looking scope till I looked through it. Extremely "fish eyed". Replacement ordered with extremely slow service, when received, replacement scope lens very blurred. Returned for refund which has not been received yet. Don't know if these are seconds or just a bad batch of scopes. Have excellent service with Leapers 4 16x44 scopes.

a very nice economical large scope

by pracer, from CA, United States Written on January 5, 2016
I love this scope. It has a huge 56mm front lens for a wide field of view and it seems to have very good clarity even at long range. I haven't had the chance to shoot with it yet but just using it to spot down range several hundred yards has impressed me with the clarity of view and magnification. The adjustments seem to be very positive in their feel as well. It has removable flip up covers on both ends which is nice if you dont like all that hanging up in your face. It is a very long scope. I had to use some offset and taller mounts to position it farther forward on my LR308 so I could access the charging handle.
Pros:
  • Clear optics
  • well built solid construction
  • economical price
Cons:
  • large body scope requires correct mounts
Best Used for:
  • Long range stationary shooting

Fantastic value for the money.

by Christopher, from MD, United States Written on January 2, 2016
I got this scope to replace the $80 3-9x40 that I had on my custom Mosin Nagant. This scope is much more powerful getting me on target at distance much easier. The large 56mm objective gathers tons of light and the image even in the higher settings is crystal clear. The return to zero turrets and AO are all positive click adjustment and easy to use.
I didn't think I would be getting much improvement going from a really cheap scope to a relatively cheap scope, but for under $200 you really cannot get a better scope! yes it is that good. I'm writing this review and I haven't even played with the 36 color reticle yet!. The scope also comes with high quality rings, and lens covers. I really cannot recommend this scope enough! If you are looking for a really nice optic for not a lot of money this is it.
The only thing bad about it could be it is a little heavy. but that is it.
Pros:
  • Easy adjustments
  • Fantastic value for the money
  • positive click turrets
  • very clear picture
  • comes with mounting rings and lense covers
Cons:
  • a bit heavy
Best Used for:
  • long distance shooting

You get what you pay for, and sometimes a little bit more.

by XDmToter, from MI, United States Written on February 12, 2015
Based on the price of this scope, I was expecting it to be "Toy Grade". I am pleased to report that it is of higher quality than I expected.
My only complaint so far is this; When you have the reticle illumination set to its maximum brightness, you can see what appears to be a lot of dust on the optics. However, at lower brightness settings, this is not noticeable.
I would never use the maximum brightness setting anyway because it is just way to bright for the low light conditions in which you would need an illuminated reticle, so I don't see this as being a show stopper.
Other than that, it does appear to be well built. I have only put about 30 rounds on it (.308) but it has held zero thus far.
Elevation and windage turrets have a solid feel with well defined clicks.
The power ring is extremely tight and difficult to turn, but the movement is smooth. I expect it will loosen over time.
Be Warned. This is a Big, Heavy scope.
The included rings were quite a bit too tall for my setup, but hey; It came with Rings!

All things considered, I think this is a good scope for an entry level shooter on a limited budget.

Best value scope under $200.

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on February 26, 2013
Best scope you can buy for under $200. Good quality glass and coatings. Lots of features. Easily comparable to scopes at twice the price.

Only downsides are the turrets and 36 color mode. The turrets have some travel, however slight, before engaging clicks when turned. Clicks are quite crisp and clean, though.
36 color mode is gimmicky and difficult to maneuver through. Red/green work perfectly, despite this.

All in all, it is a great scope I highly recommend.
Pros: Lots of features. Low cost. Best value.
Cons: Turrets have some slack. 36 color mode takes some navigation practice.
