A great 91/30 Mosin Scout Mount
Excellent scout mount for the Mosin 91/30. Clamps on dovetail after removing entire rear mount. Clamp screws need to be tight and secured with locktite. Set screws against top of rail need to be tight. I also drilled and pinned mount using original sight base pin (catches bottom of mount with 1/2 of the pin - but enough to prevent movement). Outstanding setup for a Mosin. Offset gets scope back far enough for a 1" LER scope such as the NCStar to work great from a comfy position. Mine did not require any scope shimming to keep elevation adjustment at it's bottom where it should be with t...

Easy attach and it works on my Mosin
If you search on the net for an easy and cheap way to install a scout scope this mount is at the top of the heap. Got this for really cheap with a scope+mount bundle here at OP. Removal of the rear sight was only a 10 minute affair on my 1943 MN because during the rush of the war they didn't bother to solder the rear mount to the MN dovetail. After a quick removal of the rear sight, a fast cleaning of the MN dovetail, this mount went on within minutes. At first the Leapers mount appeared to be too wide to grab the dovetail but in fact it tightened down real tight.
Before installing this new mount, I put a piece of masking tape on top of detail, and then temporarily installed the mount. I then screwed in the 2 set screws so they left some marks on the tape. Remove mount, nail set some points at the locations of the set screw marks on the tape, and then drilled some shallow 3/16" holes to accept the set screws. With that all done, the combination of the mount clamp plus the 2 set screws results in a rock tight mount.
The only flaw I could fine was that the two set screws were not in a straight line but that wasn't much of an issue using the masking tape technique.
Pros: Cheap, Offset feature, set screws
Cons: Set screws weren't inline, maybe a little wide?

don't try to use on a real gun
my fault thought would at least handle 22
recoil and normall use but not the case , iI found even to light weight to stay in line on Gamo .177 airgu
Pros: cheap cheap cheap
Cons: flimsy not even good for a 22

A lot of mount for the money. Just as good as the more expensive options.

Not just for airguns!
The only really great AND inexpensive solution for scope mounting on a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 or variants. Install a scout scope using this very rigid mount that attaches directly to the barrel (and not to a half disassembled original tangent sight.) That is too many pin connections for me and too much modification of the original sight. This mount in not just for airguns; it has two vertical set screws for preventing fore and aft movement on high-power rifles like the M-N. The .22 cal. 0.375" dovetail mount fits the 0.428 dovetail sight groove on the M-N barrel that holds the original tangent sight. I'm happy.

Works great.
Used on an old Mosin M91/30 with a LER scope. Hasn't lost zero once, hasn't came loose at all. Clears the bolt just fine, works on the dovetail underneath the factory rear site.
Pros: Easy to mount, good hardware, hasn't came loose.
Cons: A little ugly looking.

Offset Scope Mount
This little unit did exactly what I needed it to do. It reached back over the extraction port of my old bolt action Mossberg .22 and locked the scope in place perfectly. Looks good too. Highly recommend this scope base for those long stocked rifles.
Pros: For those looong stocked rifles, its great
