works, BUT, some big BUTS
Okay, it works as advertised, but they really ought to mention a couple of big BUTS:
1. It's pretty darn heavy
2. It shifts the scope center off to the side instead of straight above the barrel.
Needless to say, it's just sitting in my pile of "nice ideas" never to be used again.
See-Thru riser Mount with Tri-Rail
I mounted a decent scope on my flat top AR. This riser is the perfect highth to get instant alignment. I work my rifle and it gets thumped around some. No loss of zero. A client spent hours shooting a BUNCH of different ARs set up ever which way. He chose my rifle as the most shootable. A2 solid stock, and this riser on the flat top. We are both big guys and the longer A2 with this riser is a good fit.
Pros: KISS Principal used by designers. SIMPLE, SOLID, Takes a lot of abuse.
Cons: Made in China, dammit! Also, some retailers charge up to $60 bucks for a $15 item.

Leapers tri-rail mount
I was so impressed with the first one I bought, I bought two more. Very easy to install, makes weapon very flexible, and very well made. Good price.

MNT-995TR Tri-mount
Purchased for mounting scope with light and laser that functioned properly but see through was of no use for iron sights. OpticsPlanet messed up the order that took me weeks to get them to straightened it out,was not happy with that.

See-through is a slight mis-nomer
I will need to raise my SU-16C iron sights up 1/4-inch in order to make use of the "see-through" feature. If you are not concerned with that, this will serve you well to hold red-dot, flashlight, laser, etc.
Pros: Versatile, easy to mount and holds lots of toys
Cons: See-through maay not work for you as the lower portion has a bar in the way

Very easy to install, prompt delivery, just what the doctor ordered to make my AR 15 223/5.56 flattop into aviable shooting platform. I haven't shot it yet, but hope to soon.

This Mount takes seconds to set up. Its very sturdy and looks great. If you are thinking of adding some type of optic to your rifle this is the riser to buy.
